Default New account help (my first post)

Hi guys,

So I’m new to the forum and this is my first post. I have been an ebay user for over 9 years I’ve had multiple accounts all which have got blocked or limited after some time. I’ve been using friends accounts for the last year but once again they have become limited after just a few months and its becoming really hard to list 50/60 items a month that I need to list. I come across this forum and brought the guide which was quite useful, never new ebay tracked IP address and listing s content and phone numbers.

After reading the guide I got my sister to set up a account in her name, with her address and her bank account/credit card, all brand new never registered on ebay. Straight away the selling limit is £10k/500 item. I listed 1 item from a computer with a new IP address. Just wanted to know to keep this limit and not get restricted or banned what should I do. Do I need to take it slow on the number of listing for a certain period of time? If so how long? Anything else?

Please let me know, you r help is much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums - why are you insisting on using your friends' and your sister's info? Why not go stealth?

Hi & welcome to the forum

Great to hear you bought the stealth guide, it is a good investment.

As long as you have never had an account in your sisters details that is banned then you account should work fine, although it is not advised to sell under a persons real details any more as things do tend to end badly down the line.

Browse ebay and add items to your watch list before you list anything.

Dont sell high risk items on a new account, start off by selling used/unwanted items from around the house so you do not raise flags.

I would only start off selling 5-10 items at a time on a new account.

Thanks guys for the replies.

I mainly sell rare sneakers, and they range from £150 to £500 each, would you class that as high risk? The reason I would to give this 1 more go under my sisters account is people that buy these items like to buy off sellers with high/good feedback, one of the disadvantages for stealth for me is every time I would have to use a 0 feedback account. My goal was to build my sisters account up to power seller status and have no restriction or selling limits.

Is that going to be possible? If not what kind of issues I’m I going to face?

DEFINITELY high risk to sell that value on a new account.

You need to build reputation first before going for those values. Especially if they are brand name items.

Powerseller status is quite a distance away for you from now, you first have to earn top rated. There will always be restrictions on an account and doubt you will find 'no selling limits' any more.

If you sell these items to fast or two soon on this account or any new account, you will mos likely get limited on paypal asking you for proof of purchase, business licences, supplier details, invoices and proof of delivery/tracking numbers.
Which usually kill an account :(

Bunneh – so if paypal ask for proof of purchase, invoices and proof of delivery/tracking numbers. I can provide them that’s not a problem.

Rsot- yes all items are branded nike, asics, adidas, also all items are legit and brought from stores.

all your docs provided will need to be in your SISTERS details and not your own since you are using her name and address etc..

You will burn this account dead if you list those items on a new account ESPECIALLY those brands. They are high risk name brand items and are VERO.

99.9% of new accounts created only give you 10/£650 when first created so getting a 500/£10 000 item limit account is very lucky and you should cherish it,

yes if they ask for any docs i can provide my sisters docs with here details that's not a problem.

I know that the limit that has been given is very lucky. so I really want to know how to keep it and not get restricted.

Low risk items, not selling high end sneakers with high prices. Get a load of feedback on low priced items usually household and used goods.

Plenty of threads on it on the forum, use the search button and lots of ideas have been given out

Usually getting limited and paypal asking for that much info =

But it sounds like you will list these items regardless of what we tell you..

making a strong, successful account is not a quick fix. Takes hard work and dedication.

and the issue in this case, if you get that account permanently suspended, your sister won't ever be able to use eBay again......

It's why it's not recommended to use real info.

No I will take it slow and only list 5 items a month and build this account up slowly. In the mean time i will create a stealth account and use that.
