Advice RE PayPal dispute
I sold a Levis jacket for friend for a really nice amount and the buyer who purchased it lives in Spain.
They paid on October 11th (Sunday) and I shipped on October 12th (Monday)via Internatinal Signed For with Royal Mail.
The item reached Spain on the 13th and has been in transit ever since.
The problem - eBay had told the buyer that the item would arrive on October 19th (I really wish they wouldn't hand out 'estimated delivery' times).
The buyer has now opened a dispute with PayPal, not a claim yet. They haven't opened anything on eBay yet either. But I have a feeling I'm working with someone who will be unreasonable about this.
I could not have shipped any faster and I have pleaded with both the buyer and PayPal about this.
What are ny chances? If the buyer escalates to a claim or opens a case dirctly on eBay, would they take notice that the item is still in transit? or would they (like I suspect) refund the buyer even though the item is still in transit?
If they refunded and then the item arrived, would they reverse the refund?
I feel really bad for my friend as I can't afford to pay him the money he may lose out of my own pocket.
