Exclamation Insultive VERO! New and Confused!! ADVISE PLEASE!!

I am new here and I have a VERO situation that I think is being handled incorrectly.

I received an email message from a Vero member on Sunday regarding some listings that I had current high bids on. Busy watching the game I had no idea. Later that night ebay removed some of the listings. When I went back and read the message it was pretty harsh, using words like illegal and prison/fines.. mail fraud... La La La. The following morning yet more listings were removed. Following the ebay guidelines I contacted this member and asked WHY... (since I do not sell news and a solid rep) based on what info and so on (perhaps a mistake). Here was the response

To answer your question of 'why I am doing this to' you, well, it's quite simple. The items are not authentic brand X along with brands x x and x, and the list goes on and on....they have hired a private team of VeRo members to try and help them stop the sell of news. Sellers are costing these companies MILLIONS, and costing the USA millions of jobs.

Hopefully, now, you also realize that it's a felony to sell a counterfeit item.

If selling counterfeit bags is the way you earn your living, then you need to find some other job.
Your job is illegal, just as a drug dealers job is illegal. You can't do it. PERIOD.

.... So I contacted ebay and read the information on the trademark violations (at the advise of ebay) I asked the following.

k. I understand that you are upset with the principles behind people selling news as am I. I have looked into the vero section of ebay's rules and the following information should be provided to me:
The email notifying you that your listing had been removed should have included the rights owner's email address.
If what you are stating in true that the items are copies I would like to know this for sure and I would like to provide the information of whom and where the items were purchased so that I may assist your program. But I do not want to be falsely accused of something or be referred to as a person of bad taste (drug dealer)

So please provide to me the information necessary to confirm your claims.

THEN!!! they rudely replied

No, see, you have this completely wrong. It's not MY job to give YOU information on why I think these are counterfeits. It's YOUR job to send ebay and brand x certificates of authentication so that they will allow you to list and sell them.
I, personally, did not remove your listings. Ebay did that, and YOU need to get in touch with them and provide them with whatever THEY need. I owe you nothing.

NICE!!! Huh!! LIKE I DID NOT ALREADY TRY TO GIVE THAT TO EBAY!!! So kindly I reminded them that the following is ebay's policy.
ok. but just so you understand here is what is posted I will go back to ebay.

Listings removed through VeRO

If your listing was removed through VeRO, and you believe that your listing was removed in error, eBay suggests that you first try to contact the rights owner directly. (The email notifying you that your listing had been removed should have included the rights owner's email address.) Only the rights owner understands their products and intellectual property rights. If the rights owner agrees that they made a mistake, have them email eBay and eBay will allow you to re-list your item.

Avoid having your listing removed through VeRO in the future. Review the list of VeRO Program Participant About Me pages. Participants have created an About Me page that contains information designed to help you understand why they requested the removal of your listing.
How eBay helps to ensure that listings aren’t mistakenly removed. A rights owner reporting through VeRO must be registered through VeRO before reporting items to us. Rights owners sign legally binding documents when reporting items to eBay.

So... I ask all of you for help. Since we all know that ebay does not care to see receipts and they don't really want to help it brought me here! Is this person some random jerk that has nothing better to do than pretend to be some "official/off the record" VERO ? or am I forced to start over on FB and selling in order to re list prior to my 90 day alerts..... The income from my ebay selling is needed and I am getting totally strung out on the principle of this fascist . Should I report them for non compliance or is that a waste of time? If I remember right it is a total pain to start out again with 0 fb.

I wish I would have found your site years ago!!!

Any advise???

ok, ebay wrote you that? They are usually polite or non-existant, I think someone/jerk may watch your account and you may have problems, just a feeling....

If they are real, contact vero owner, you may be lucky and they will back you up, I was in this situation a while back with genuine goods, vero owner backed me up but not quite enough for ebay to allow me back. I suspect vero owner told them to cut me off behind the scenes. remember ebay employees are in on selling game and vero owners also are in collusion to stop
goods being sold cheaply and protect their brand/profits.

so in answer to your question, once you have come to their attention for vero its not all plain sailing, but there is a chance so pursue it for a while then
let go and move on to another account or product.

If they are faux goods, youve been caught and you have to accept that too..

If they are not f**es and you were hit with copyright violations, consider faxing in a counter-notice. The violation will be removed & you will be allowed to relist if the vero member does not take you to court.

Default Insultive VERO

To clarify the conversations were with the VERO that reported the listings.

Yes that is correct about EBAY being pretty bland in the communications.

The items are not F*ke and based on past vero issues I already knew that ebay has no interest in getting any sort of proof of authenticity. I did send a counter and ..... I reported them for harassment but I never heard back from Ebay on those reports.

When it was all said and done... after many more conversations with this supposed VERO member, they actually denied any part of reporting the items (even though initially they sent me an email stating that exact opposite) They also claimed to be a member of vero for about 30 different brands. All handbags. The items were Juicy and if you would like to know the who the "fool on the hill" is please send me a PM I would be glad to share. I have been waiting for them to sell something so I can leave some stinky feedback.... but it has yet to happen.

As a follow up. Ebay did send me a personal message, but they kept trying to refer me back to the guides.....
They apparently missed the point.... it is ebays policy for the seller to contact the vero and try and work it out, but in this case..... they were not willing therefore I was requesting a reinstatement. WHATEVER!! I decided to move on with another account. But I have not had as high of profits with out the established FB

exact thing happended to me, except it was a real vero member, i had emails with address and phone number, they tried to crawl out of it when they realised I had genuine contact, I actually visited the offices of the merchandising manager with products and she could see i wasnt trifling and she showed she was apparently helping me to appeal to ebay, but ebay refered blame on vero and it was like watching tennis - gave up in the end
long story short they didnt want goods sold or there was a conflict of interest
(if you know what i means) vero employees sell on ebay!
