Closing eBay account and selling on my other?
I currently have two accounts, one is 3-4 years old and my new one is just a few weeks old. I used my old account a month ago to try and sell game keys, it went well but I had 1 scammer who opened a dispute and left feedback saying "scammer" 3 hours after sending him his game key. The keys are genuine, obtained from sealed physical game copies so I know it was someone scamming me and being a complete a**h*** about it.
Anyway, I decided to open up a new eBay account under an actual "brand" name and sell on this one. My limits for both accounts are 100/£3,500 as I've confirmed my house address but I'd like to know if I should close my old eBay account. Reason being, I don't want to have to call eBay to raise my limits if I get to 100/100 or £3,500/£3,500 and have them ask if I have any other accounts (as I've read on this forum).
My old account has 80% positive Feedback (only 1 negative feedback). It kind of looks bad and I really wouldn't like to be declined a raise in limits because of this.
I guess my questions are, should I close the account or does it not matter? And if I close it will I still be able to sell on my other eBay account... and finally, would closing it raise suspicion if during the call they ask if I have any other accounts and check?
Thanks!
