What Merchant Account was that? I wonder if they check with them on real account holder and that's how they link.....Maybe some are giving this info out to Ebay, but not sure.

I opened a bunch of accounts in June and that's before I really took notice to flash cookies. So I opened all of these accounts on the same computer user account on different ip etc but I think the flash cookie loomed on my computer. So when I went to use the account and get approved for merchant account I was linked by Wally to a suspended user. The days following that suspension by Wally, everytime I tried to list on an account from that June period they were all linked to one particular account in 24 hrs. Now all of those accounts are now dead after trial and error, but my newer ones work and I am getting merchant approvals.

I got an email back saying I was linked to a previously suspended user.

So, im guesing me applying for a merchant account made T&S take a deeper look into the account..Im thinking the address was the same as a suspended user...

Had i not submitted documents this account would have been fine...

Well...Time to keep it moving!

so you still use the same merchant account for the active working ebay accounts as you did with the suspended ones?

Well, at least you know now.

Flash Objects are a KILLER!

Just to be clear..because I am new and still reading and learning and trying to straighten things out for myself......having a flash cookie is not a problem if what you do for a specific ebay/paypal ID is done within the windows account you have set up for them.., correct?

And- If you have a merchant account, you should be okay to use it with any ebay/paypal id....but what I am understanding happened here with the flash cookie..is that maybe when the doc was sent to ebay, they somehow read any flash cookie lying around. so the question is whether ebay got it when the fax or email was done??? because you should be able to use the merchant account on many accounts, correct? or is that only if all those many accounts are active and okay? And using a merchant account that has five accounts (with one that is blocked) will get you in trouble?

Yes your flash cookies are cool if they are under a single user account for a single ebay account with one exclusive IP address.

I got caught because I was CREATING accounts on one single computer user account early last year BEFORE I noticed ebay used flash cookies. So automatically ebay was watching everything I did with those accounts even after I finally deleted those cookies. When I went to use those accounts MONTHS down the line, they linked and suspended me.

When you send in your docs, the ebay folks can audit your account to see if it is linked with any suspended accounts. Since I waited months to send in my docs, they audited my account and busted me based on a previous suspension flash cookie linked to a different account.

You can use the same merchant account over and over and ebay has no idea unless you give them your personal merchant info or setting up payment via payflow.

Thanks for the info Killa. I was worried I wasn't getting the picture and all the setup I was currently doing might be contaminating my new user id's. now i need to go research what payflow is...
