Amazon Ghost says if you use VMWare you have to Change Your Mac Address if you've used the same computer in the past with Amazon. Is this still true?

If you're using Vmware, each virtual machine you create will have a unique MAC address anyhow

Although MAC does not matter

So, MAC address for computer does not matter anymore. Does MAC address for router still matter?
