PayPal Appeal Denied. Where did i go wrong ??

hi, i had a limited account.

They were asking for photo Id, supplier invoices, bank statement and supplier info. I asked the form for advise , best bet was to supply these docs myself, so thats what i did.

For :

Photo Id - I took a pic of passport, changed the name, DOB etc to my paypal info

Bank statement- Took a pic of statement, changed name address etc

Supplier invoice-, created a invoice in microsoft word, took a screenshot.

Supplier info- wrote down the supplier name, Vat number, company number, address, phone number in word, took a screenshot.

All docs where uploaded as jpeg. They were average, but not that bad either.

So i sent them to paypal, about an hour later i got an email, which was appeal denied. I just want to know where did i go wrong ??

Now i can either refund buyers, or do the 180 days wait with the balance, obv i have shipped all items.

Thank you

wow...did they say why appeal was denied?

idiotbay 06-12-2009 03:35 PM

yes they did, i got an email about 45mins after i sent the docs, which i fink was really quick. I just wanna no wot i did wrong, as i fought this worked for other members

There is no 100% guarantee that supplying anything to paypal to remove a limitation will work.:pout: Many have been lucky but there are those that have had the limitation kept.
Without knowing all your business, it could be because of the items sold, amount of money. It boils down to the cold fact that paypal are nasty.:peace:

So, what WAS the reason for denying the appeal? Just an observation... If you use self-made docs, don't send screenshots. Print docs, then rescan. So it looks like the doc was scanned instead of self-provisioned.

Im more worried about OPs spelling.

High risk? This email looks like they are saying ta ta, you can email/call and ask if there is any chance id will solve it, but I think its unlikely, worst that will happen is in 6 months youll get your money..

Vicvelcro 06-13-2009 02:31 AM

Based on the email you got from PP, I'd guess that this is likely a lost cause for continuity. You aren't likely to get the limit removed, as they wish to part ways.

If you've already shipped, refunding buyers might mean you don't get some of your goods back. If you don't refund, you'll be waiting 6 months.

At this point, all things considered, I wouldn't expend any effort with the docs or other things PP originally asked for. Just keep that bank account open so when the 180 days is up, you will at least be able to dump the PP into it and retrieve your stash.

idiotbay 06-13-2009 05:26 AM

yh i will just move on to another account, n w8 180days for this money

JamesYaBaoy 06-14-2009 01:38 AM

EVERYTHING plays a factor regarding limitations, if even ONE thing is not right, it could cause them to be more suspicious of you and require more information.

I once messed up and sent them a drivers license with the name on it backwards.Account gone and lesson learned.

P.S.: Once you get that e-mail it is 99% certain your not getting back with that account and information.

aquariusvc 06-19-2009 05:29 AM

do not upload document on to PayPal website, only send fax and do not take screen shoot on computer, you need printed and scanned all document.

idiotbay 06-19-2009 02:22 PM

so you saying make docs, then print out and fax

Vicvelcro 06-19-2009 02:26 PM

Correct. To get the texture and print effect, you need to duplicate the process. So, print a copy out. Then run it through the scanner to send it. If it were me sending a document, I would send it at the lowest possible quality. The more crisp the image, the more errors will stand out. The worse the image, the more difficult it becomes. And what you want is for their job to be the hardest it can be, in that regard.

ok thanks will keep that in mind next time
