If you're looking for a gift credit card that may work in your specific country, try the following Google search:

Google: +[Your Country] +gift +"credit card" Visa OR Mastercard
(Substitute the name of your country where is says [Your Country])

What you're looking for is a card that can be given as a gift and registered (if it needs to be registered) to your "stealth" ID.

Below are a few posts from September 2008 from three of the more helpful U.S. members:

I have chosen to not use the Simon Cards.
Why you ask?..... Because if a account goes down I can just take the left over plastic card to the store and burn the amount on stuff I need at home.

For each card I use I load the eBay/Paypal account holders information onto that card.
I use a Sharpie and write the eBay ID on the card.
I ONLY use card "A" for eBay/Paypal account "A".
I ONLY use card "B" for eBay/Paypal account "B".
I ONLY use card "C" for eBay/Paypal account "C".
And on and on and on......

Other methods I do use, that I can Confirm working as of TODAY:
--- All Access Gift Cards--available at Wawa Gas Stations, 7-11 Stations, Most Grocery Store Chains, The Vanilla MASTERCARDS, which I have purchased at Kroger Grocery Stores
I also use Gift2go (dot) net, which I get at Walgreens, they are Yellow, starting price $30.
I also use OneGreatGiftCard (dot) com, which i get at the Local Shopping mall--they start at only $20, with a $3.95 fee.
--As for Ebay FEES--Besides the gift cards--what I do--is generate the Ebay Payment sheet-whihc has an ebay account number--then I estimate what it will be for the month-and i send a cashiers check..

Unhappy Vanilla Visa

I was not able to get a Visa gift card purchased at a local CVS store to work. The website to register the card is vanillavisa.com. It worked to set up an account a couple of months ago but as of 12/15/08 it will not work for automated authorization. It works on paypal for the expuse 4 digit #, but cannot be automatically verified even tho it has the 3-digit CCID #. So Ebay won't take it, even tho Paypal did. Has anyone has a similar problem with any of these other gift cards? Can anyone give me a guarantee which card(s) have worked recently? I'm getting agravated with this nonesense on Ebay!

There are never any guarantees when eBay/Paypal is involved.
Please see my other post:
http://www.aspkin.com/forums/credit-...html#post57841

By the way...
Please add your location to your account here.
eBay/Paypal rules vari by country.
Go to your "User CP" and list your location.
This helps since eBay/Paypal Rules are different by country.
Thanks

I already read that thread and saw my card listed, but noticed the last update was Sept 18, 2008. Which is why I'm asking if anyone has an updated list since the visa gift card with vanilla visa is no longer working.
BTW, I'm in the US. I'll come back later this evening and figure out how to update that, gotta go to work now.

I am glad you read the list.
So where on my list is there a card called "vanilla visa"?
There isn't.

So why would I update a list to name the thousands of gift cards that do not work?
I ONLY list cards that work that I personally have used and know to work.
I did not list Vanilla Visa anywhere on my list.
So you might want to re-read the post.

Thanks

That's not what I was referring, sorry for not being clear. You just listed Visa gift cards in general and I was being more specific for you. Evidently, not all Visa gift cards are the same, it depends on where you buy it as to what kind of Visa brand it is. So my question really is what kind of Visa gift cards are you referring to? the one I used sent me to the website Vanillavisa even tho it's advertised simply as a Visa gift card. I hope you understand my query this time.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that not all Visa gift cards are the same. So which one did you use that worked? This "Vanillavisa" was purchased at a CVS pharmacy under the guise of just Visa Gift Card.
I went ahead and got a Suntrust gift card last night to try.
But now the problem is Ebay's website is not allowing me to create a seller's account, gonna look thru the threads to see if anyone else is having that problem. Ebay says they're aware of the problem and working on it, been 3 days waiting now.
Wonder if it's delliberate!

I am 1000% SURE that you NEVER read the post about credit cards that I posted.
Because my list was VERY specific about credit card brands and even where to buy them.
So do NOT tell me that my list was general.

Please STOP asking me questions when you will not even take the time to read the answers.

One more time here is the link that you say is just so general and does not name brands or locations where to purchase them.

Now follow the link and READ the post.

So any of the cards you list in that thread will work for both Paypal and Ebay verification correct?

sorry I fixed it now but yeah I live in the USA as you do. I don't have much in the way of spare funds atm so would like to get something that is going to work on the first try. I do already have a netspend card but not sure how to put money into it without using direct deposit.

Is there a particular reason you don't use the green dot ones? They seem like they'd be the best option as you can chose whatever amount you want to add and reload them if needed.

Greendot cards do not work. You are required to place your REAL name & Information on the card.

OOPs, well I got my new ebay/paypal accounts working after following the steps in the guide and using one of your recommended gift cards HOWEVER I did screw up on one thing. When I created my Ebay account and it prompted me to go create a Paypal account it asked for my card info which I submitted. I thought this was the same as verifying that card with Paypal but I guess not. I used all the funds on my gift card already so looks like I'll have to get a new one when I need to lift my withdrawal limit...in a couple of weeks most likely. The new card should verify fine still right, as long as I fill out the address and everything properly again? Should I remove the old gift card before I add it or just leave them both on there? Too bad I didn't realize sooner because the card is literally only short of the 1.95 it needs by a few cents lol.

^^^^^^^^^
Your New PP account should be fully Verified via the 2 Bank deposits and adding the credit card to remove the limits before you ever use it.
This is the safest way to use your new PP account.

It does not matter if you remove the old one or not.
Just make the new card your default card.
When you added your card upon creation PP should have done a $1 authorization on your card.
The $1 authorization will be removed in about 7-10 days and the $1 will reappear on your card as a increase in your available balance.

OK there is a lot of info here. Can we narrow down this info.? Which of the listed cards (in the US) can be used with EBAY fees anonymously and not give you any problems?
Can any of the cards listed be used with PAYPAL to have PAYPAL pay proceeds into the card?
