haha. Burns I think you mean wire transfer? iv done one of those before there not worth it. I was charged a $15 fee from my bank(bank of america) plus its a hassle to give your bank account info to a buyer and explain to them how to do it. Alot of people would just back out and find another seller.

Cartmanager and GoogleCheckout Questions

2 quick questions

1. I have 3 ebay accounts, how do i link my Cartmanger to all 3? i cant seem to figure it out

2. Under prefences on GoogleCheckout, it gives me the option of

A. Automatically authorize the buyer's credit card for the full amount of the order.

B. Automatically authorize and charge the buyer's credit card.

i assume B but just wanted to confirm since this s my first time using GC. Thanks and i look forward to your response

Its cool i have finally found a merchant here in Australia, paymate
I had to tell two buyers to pay me via bank deposit before i found them though lol

vers0 10-26-2007 06:20 PM

Killedbyebay, I believe option "A" means that Google checkout will check to see if the amount to be charged is ok. Option "B" with authorize and charge in one step. Option "A" could be used for example, If an item is unavailable and you are unable to ship out the item. You can catch the charge before it happens to eliminate a refund to a customer. Thats what I like about it.

This might help

Hi

I reading the post about using another alternatives in accepting payment besides paypal and I think I might use cartmanager software with googlecheckout....

There is a seller that I notice for months now and using this instead of paypal ChannelAdvisor: Marketplaces

I will call them tomorrow and find out how they work...Just thought I let you guys know about it too....

vers0 10-29-2007 08:15 PM

Yesterdaywas, Let us now how its goes. I too have to fully get away from PayPal with eBay. I use a good standing Paypal and send my customers invoices from it. I think someone will complain someday about this. Then I will be mad at myself. Does anyone know how much is Cartmanager?

Killed by Ebay 10-29-2007 11:14 PM

If i use Auctiva to list and use the Cartmanager/GoogleCheckout for invoices. Will cartmanager send the invoice? thats what i assumed but aftre browsing through cartmanager i seen that you can list items on ebay through cartmanager so i was wondering if thats the only way u can have invoices sent to your buyers?????? a quick reply would be greatly appreciated because i currently have items going and would like to know this before they end...Thanks

Google ask every person who dosent have a account to enter

Name
Address
Phone #
Email
A Password
And Credit card info

this is the same stuff any other site such as amazon or bestbuy would ask for

When i think of signing up i would think of like when u got to use bidpay u have to go through crap loads of pages to pay or when your new to paypal then thats when u got to sign up. What google is asking for is pretty much all the info they need to charge your credit card and a email address and thats it

How long does it take cartmanager to send invoices? does it vary from time to time or is it consistent?

doughboykilla 11-01-2007 09:52 PM

Any one have any problems with this like with spam blockers blocking the email from cartmanger or like with yahoo you cant even send a invoice from google to any yahoo user do to there stupid policy

koalawash 11-01-2007 10:05 PM

I've only had one Google Checkout invoice (I was buyer, not seller) in my experience. It did land in the spam filter, but fortunately I always check that.

doughboykilla 11-01-2007 10:44 PM

i sold alot of stuff useing google and every person i sold to on ebay who has yahoo emails (which is like 1/2 of my buyers) there never recive the invoices from google also i cant even send them a email from aol to there yahoo w/o getting returned and said it could not be sent to do there policy so i have to send the buyers a link to the checkout page from my isp email to any yahoo account holders which is a pita when every other email accepts the invoices

so i hope this wont be a problem with cart manger

bestvipz 11-02-2007 12:03 AM

As of Oct 1, Cartmanager integrated with PayPal. Have anyone use this feature to get around PP. I really don't know how this works out. If I accept PP payment in my eBay listing. Then I have to provide PP email address. But if I don't accept PP in the listing but once the Cart Manager sends the invoice. Buyer actually can pay with PP. Any ideas on how to notify buyers in the listing that sellers accept PP payment

koalawash 11-02-2007 01:33 AM

I hope integrating cartmanager with PP does turn out to work. I'd love to know once somebody tries it.

doughboykilla 11-02-2007 03:02 PM

Have you guys had problems with the shipping cost? cause i sold a few items and when the buyers got the invoice it doubled my shipping cost so i then listed a item and sold it to my self to see what the problem was and sure enough the dam thing is doubleing my shipping and then to top it off i click the google button and the shippings not even added to it. Only price is the auction won price

Killed by Ebay 11-02-2007 04:35 PM

The problem i am having is i dont think it is sending out the invoices to all my customers. Anyone else have that problem?

doughboykilla 11-02-2007 05:54 PM

ive decied to use it to manuely send invoices to the buyers

seems like it works for me this away and is faster then doing it through google checkout

and when i sold a auction to my self i got the invocie instantly at my aol email.

jimmymac99 11-13-2007 12:03 AM

Its working ok with me, its making insurance that I have optional "required" in the invoices. Anyone to turn off calculating insurance in cartmanager?

htown 01-07-2008 02:04 AM

Sorry to bump an old thread, but how much is everyone paying for Cartmanager and also, has anyone integrated it with Paypal yet and were you linked? Thanks.

Rook 01-11-2008 01:28 PM

I'd also like to hear the answer to htown's question :)

Rook 01-11-2008 02:40 PM

Actually to add on to the question: Would you still be able to use Auctiva if you were running googlecheckout through cartmanager and have the whole process be automated (invoice sent with the clickable pay link)?

Ballsack 01-13-2008 06:50 PM

You can't even sign up for this service directly. It has to be done thru a reseller.

sdot10 02-14-2008 04:51 PM

Google Checkout

Someone said you can embed it into your ebay listings, how does that work. Or do you just send an invoice as soon as the auction is done.

woodant 02-19-2008 05:37 PM

I opened a trial account today and tried to configure the checkout and list some item on ebay. But every time when I was trying to list a new item I always got a message saying" failed, the list violates ebay policy blablabla"
Have anyone meet the same problem before? what I list was just a test item, like 'broken monitor for parts' :)

Thanks

woodant 02-19-2008 09:45 PM

Hi, Modee, do you need to specify anything in ebay list to let cartmanager sent the billing after the auction, or do you just simply sign up cartmanager, and do the 'token things' from cartmanager to ebay, and also put your googlecheckout ID&Key there, then everything is ready?

I just don't understand how the cartmanager will know when you auction is gonna end? thanks

tvaughan08 02-29-2008 01:59 PM

I have a theory

***Listing on eBay through cartmanager***
I actually called cartmanager and asked them, If i have a new account with eBay will I get a "u must fax in your merchant statements to use your merchant account" error like in auctiva. Cartmanager said as far as they know ebay hasn't changed anything about there system with there system.
So once I get a new account with eBay im going to list through cartmanager and see if it lets me post the auction on eBay without any hassel.

dawgpen 02-29-2008 10:53 PM

I tried using carmanager with a newer account, Over 30 days old but post Nov 07. I have my own merchant account and use authorize.net. It does not work without faxing in the merchant statement. I know there has been some confusion so I tried it myself. This is not a way around it unfortunately:( .

love2hate-ebay- 03-10-2008 02:52 PM

Sorry to sound so stupid but how do i send a invoice to myself kind of a trial to see what it looks like?

love2hate-ebay- 03-10-2008 08:43 PM

I figured it out guess i am not so dumb after all maybe lol

love2hate-ebay- 03-10-2008 08:47 PM

Thanks Modee i got the trial and i think i have it figured out or at least i hope i do. I sent a invoice to myself and it all looked good. Now the real test when my auction is over in 4 days. I have a merchant account and a ccnow account but for some reason i just like google checkout the best :) I am sure i probably did something wrong so in 4 days i maybe asking you some questions:o

stepia 03-12-2008 03:03 AM

What statements do you send to eBay when setting up cartmanager?

Jsmoove5 04-16-2008 12:54 AM

Is there a way to show in the actual ebay auction the cartmanager cart?

adventmma 04-23-2008 03:01 PM

Hi, first time poster. Been reading the forum for days now, and finally registered. Modee, are you saying that this is the best bet nowadays?

1 Set up an ebay account
2 Get GCO or CCNOW
3 Get Cartmanager and add a GCO or CCNOW to it
4 Integrate Cartmanager into your Ebay listings and just sell

Though just about every day something that worked before suddenly stopped working, this sounds like a winner at the moment. I'm just being cautious. Thanks in advance. Kickass forum, by the way.

Cartmanager + Google Checkout questions

I have some questions and please help with the answer:

How does an Ebay buyer pay after making a purchase when Cartmanager and Google Checkout are set up as instructed to integrate with Ebay? Is an invoice email going to be sent out or can he pay directly on Ebay website using Pay It Now?

If an invoice email is going to be sent, does is mean that Immediate Payment Required (on Ebay) is not applicable?

What if I use a merchant account instead of Google Check Out. Will my merchant accout integrate with CartManager? If yes, do I need to get the merchant account verified by Ebay by faxing in required documents? I am very confused b/c it looks like I don't have to get Cartmanager & Google Check Out verified by Ebay.

Please help me. Thank you very much in advance.

HateEbay 05-05-2008 09:40 PM

Hi Modee,

Thank you very much Modee for your very clear explanation.

HateEbay 05-10-2008 12:48 AM

I tried sending an invoice to myself on Cartmanager. The invoice in the email leads me all the way to clicking on Google Chechout. However, when it cames to Google page, it asked me to sign in Gmail email to complete the purchase and I didn't see any other option for not signing in. What if a customer doesn't have a Gmail Account. How can he continue? Please help.

HateEbay 05-10-2008 01:18 AM

Actually I saw another option: "Create A Google Account to complete this purchase'. My question is: Do buyers have to create an account with Google to pay me?

HateEbay 05-10-2008 10:47 AM

Do you give out your real address on Google Checkout Public business Information (shown to buyers)? If you put a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address, does it cause me trouble with G.Checkout ? Does G.Checkout verify the address when my sales is getting bigger in the future?

I am afraid that If I give out my real home address (which is linked to a suspended Ebay account) and the buyer complains, he can see the difference between my Ebay registered home address and the one on G.Check Out and reports to Ebay.

labfm1 05-22-2008 07:58 AM

has anyone figured out how to setup cartmanager to use google checkout and paypal (website payments standard)??

when i set it up and do a preview of my cart, I only get the google checkout button but do not see the PayPal button (i have the "show paypal icon" box checked)

any help will be great.....

i tried to ask for help from "someone" and was told i need to pay a "tech support fee".....

he/she want customers to do a trial in hopes of purchasing their product yet want to charge a "tech support fee" when I have a very simple problem that they know how to resolve??

not a very good way to retain customers.....
