You have to have a paypal account verified and LINKED to your ebay account to sell anything now right? So how do you use google checkout + cartmanager with multiple accounts then?
Do you have to have a different gco+cartmanager for each ebay aco**** as well as a new paypal for each new account? I've read the entire thread 3 times and this question has not been posed. Plus this thread hasn't been posted on in a while so I figured I'd ask.

you do not have to have paypal to sell. you can have them approve your merchant account instead..just send in the "docs". some vero will require you to have paypal but buy the stealth book to see how to work around that ;)

You will need a separate CM account for each eBay account. CM uses a token to link to eBay, and each CM can olny hold 1 token at a time.

Does cart manager can be used in ebay australia?

Hi there,

I am from Australia and currently being suspended in ebay.com.au, and then I found something interesting called cart manager in this forum. If I use cart manager on ebay australia, do I need to link it with a google checkout to automatically send invoice to my customers?

Or it's unnecessary to link it with google checkout to send invoice? And as i know google checkout isn't available in australia yet...

And also, I am bit confused when I get into the setting in cart manager...it says that I have to have my own website to be able to use cart manager? But i am only a ebay seller, I don't own any website.

Any helps of how to use this cart manager will be very helpful to me.

Thanks...

CartManager is simply a shopping cart. You can add many payment methods to it, including paypal, google, merchant account, and many more. After adding the payment methods/gateways, you can link it to your ebay account. When the auction ends, an invoice will be sent to the winning bidder. They can then sent payment by way of one of your designated methods. You do not need a website to use it, but it can also be used on a website. CartManager is also a good way to prevent your eBay/PayPal accounts from being linked.

No, CartManager doesn't share anything with eBay.

If you have an Australian PayPal account, Google account, or merchant account, then yes. CartManager is simply a shopping cart that you add payment gateways to.

azlanxp 02-23-2009 04:32 PM

yes
they just take token from your ebay and you can delete anytime
can change anytime with other ebay without linking
look for my cartmanager below

eBay Auctions:

Increase your profitability by listing your products on eBay. Merchants can now easily list eBay auctions using Inventory Control, or other eBay tools. When an auction closes, the shopping cart will automatically email the winning bidder with an 'Add To Cart' button and payment instructions.

azlanxp, do you mean you can have one cartmanager account and if one ebay account gets suspended, you can unlink the cartmanager from that account and then link it to the new ebay account without linking?

Just a quick question- so does cartmanager still work with google checkout? Or what merchant accounts do you guys use with CM?

And just to clarify, CM is compatible with ebay right and how do you link it to ebay?

Sorry for all the questions but some of the posts just got confusing as I read through...

whoever can help.

Basically I read the whole thread, it seems like it's filled with questions, not answers, lol.

My questions.

1. What is the pricing for CM? Modee, can you send me a free trial or I can do it on CM site.
I have a Feb 2008 account(and several pre 11/07 accounts), but currently my main selling account is Feb 2008. I want to use CM+ Google Checkout, now my questions are
2. When they get integrated, do buyers have to create their google checkout account?
3. Do i have to get approval from eBay in regard to my merchant account? or they can enter their credit card?
4. i know buyers get ab email from CM to pay, but will they able to pay on "My Ebay"
5. What do I select on my payment on my ebay?

  • You should be able to get the free trial without Modee, check the website.

  • Yes, they will have to create an account.

  • Pre-2007 accts can sometimes sell without eBay authorization, but not all. Depends if they were setup correctly.
4. i know buyers get ab email from CM to pay, but will they able to pay on "My Ebay"
  • Only if you have merchant account setup to do so. But most customers will try to pay with Paypal, since that's what is right at the top.
5. What do I select on my payment on my ebay?
  • Not sure what you're asking here.

hopefully the answers above can help.

last question is

When a post an item on ebay, I usually have to select what method of payment I want? If i use Cm+google checkout, how or what do I select my method before I post?

do i have to put a dummy paypal account int he listing-buyers still can send payment to dummy accounts, just show up as "unclaim".
or can I do "pay when pickup?

I have a account from 2003 and an account from Jan 2007 as backups, and 2 more early 2008 account.

So basically, my main account from 2008, will not able to integrate with CM? or I have to get approval from eBay?

You can actualy use any PayPal account with CM, doesn't have to be PayPal linked to this Ebay account.

Lyda, you are correct.

Although; I think superking is referring to the PayPal address requested at listing time, when you select payment options (merch acct, paypal, etc.).

Superking,

If this is what you are needing help with, PM me for more details. There is a work around, but it shouldn't be shared publicly.

If you offer PayPal at all in you listing (enter paypal email address into payment options), they will have the option to pay with PayPal.

Insert CartManager checkout buttons in your listing. You can create a "Winning Bidder Checkout Here" button, that will direct them to CM. This will take care of customers that actually read the listing, and there are ways to divert those die hard PayPal users to your CM account as well. PM for more details.

Can you PM me info on this workaround as well.

Thanks!
