Default paypal reserve amount

Paypal starts to make a reserve or hold on my balance. It is 5% of every transactioni up to $10000.

Just wonder how long it will hold it. Will there be a review after it reaches $10000? Or does this mean I will have $10000 sitting with paypal forever until I close this account?

when my account reaches more than $10000 after few day i usually receive email from paypal "Notification of Limited Account Access"
so do not leave much money in paypal account they will limited your account because your account is high risk.

What metro is talking about is this nice little trick from paypal. On selected accounts, they will hold your funds..... different amounts for different accounts.

And, it is happening to many people

It's the strangest thing. They don't like us withdrawing our funds. They don't like us leaving our funds in the account. They want their commission from us collecting money from buyers. They freely give money back to buyers. They put holds on our accounts. They limit our accounts. They implement a fraudulent reserve system. They prevent us from flipping our capital by tying it up.

Paypal hates money. It's no mystery why they appear to be bleeding ca$h.

There is no time limit like 60 days!! Will this mean holding forever? That what bothers me. Otherwise, I don't care as I am not short of cash.

I had a $5,000USD hold put on my account for 90 days. The blackhole has already sucked up around $1,800.

I'm trying to be positive about it though. When that five grand finally pops out - it's gonna be party time!!!!

I think paypal would like to put my account on a limit from the first place. It sees that I have passed two limits, and given all the stuff they need. They cannot figure out anything to ask for, so they go for the reserve trick.

I am kind thinking that with that reserve paypal will be happy and will not limit me again in the future.

OP, regarding your question. I believe your 10K will be released after 60 or 90 days. It depends on the kind of reserve that was placed on your account. I will definitely be posting when my 5K is released. I'm gonna buy a motorcycle.
