Vigil you mean you just get to the point when you can sell like the devil and then not pay the ebay fees?

Volume is indeed a problem. I have had limitations on all my main accounts within the first 2 months of major selling.... usually comes once I pass the £2000 point.

If I was doing that over a year it probably wouldn't be an issue but the number of accounts I would need to create and manage would be prohibitive.

Far easier to spend a bit of time creating the necessary docs to get past limitations.

Once you provide the docs you can continue selling like you were but with no similar problem, or you are just prepared to submit the same docs again?

Only been limited the once so far on each account.

Guess they just want to make sure I don't sell a ton of stuff and then do one....

just start slowly until you get some + feedback . ask your buyers to leave feedback as soon as possible. and if you are selling with many accounts try to organize your work and create windows user account for each one . the IP issue is not big problem unless some of them got suspended .

I mean I just get to the point where I have 30 or so positive feedback, the hold is gone, then I just sell like crazy. I sell Blu-Rays, DVDs, Video games and computer software. I also sell high end software like Windows 7 and whatnot, so they sell for up to $200.00 a piece. Once it gets to a certain point of sales totals they WILL limit the account, there is NO way to get around this. Before Christmas I had over 120 positive feedback, never had a dispute, and was selling software and sold over $4,000 in about 2 1/2 months and boom, got limited. I don't purposefully sell to rip Ebay off really, but once I get to the point where they can't hold my money anymore I withdraw it. I continue to sell high end items and if a limitation comes in I just abandon the account and create a new one, so in other words I'm off the hook for the $200 or so worth of Ebay fees.

Things are getting tighter and tighter and it seems to be getting harder and harder for even the most dedicated of sellers to be able to sell consistantly.

When I am selling I am striving for the highest customer service always with DSR's to the max, I just like to light up all the stars as I figure that this will entice more people to bid. I dont sell anything that could potentially link to vero, I sell a wide range of UK retail products including electricals, cosmetics etc etc.

The amount of times I have got nailed for no reason is just madness, I dread to think where ebay is a year or even 5 years from now. Will we still be able to sell? Will it be worth it or just too much hassle?

Hopefully there will be some other good options in the future and I dont mean like some of the other useless websites that exist. Something to come close to matching ebay, and the only such company that sticks in my mind is google, I would love to see it.

Vigil when you are doing your selling thing and you get to the point where they limit you what reason do they give? and do they lift the limit again or just stop you totally dead in your tracks?

I am not sure if they do that in the UK, the only reason I have been stopped from selling is if my credit card is declined and I have hit approx £250 in selling fees.

Any ideas on this?

From what I've notice with alot of different people with different problems is that they create only 1 stealth account and use just 1 and have $6k go into the account and wonder why they get limited. But just think use the stealth book secrets to create 10 accounts which will build the accounts up and make them last longer because it will only have $600 go through the account. If you did this on a monthly basis then it would take about 10 months to have $6k run through the each of the accounts. Juggling 10 accounts by no means is easy but it beats the hassle of focusing on 1 account and then it goes bye bye then back to the drawing board. This PayPal/ebay game is silmilar to roulette, you gotta spread the risk to gain some rewards.

They normally just limit me and say we need to verify all your information. Identification, invoices, the works. If I cared about the account or had that much money locked in it I might try to make ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff and send it in, but in reality I don't really care anymore. Fact is, if there is no money left in it besides the hassel of making a new account I don't have to pay Ebay fees on the items. Like I said I sell high priced software so its just a matter of time before I get popped. The $6,000 mark isnt true, I sold just a hair over $3000 when I got popped. I guess it just depends on what you are selling.

There really isn't a specific money limit you reach. It's a matter of when they decide to do it. I've had accounts get limited with 100 dollars received, and 100000 dollars received. There's no reason behind it. There are things you can do to delay it.

Agreed, you are delaying the inevitable with a Stealth Account. Its like death, there's no way you can escape it. Eventually whether its 100 feedback or 1,000 feedback, your going to get popped, and the game ends there if you can't provide a bunch of bull**** forms. But like I said, I have no problem sticking it to Ebay for the fees, saves me some money!
