Yes, you are correct. It is the MAC on the computer not the router. I thought that is what we were talking about in the first place???

I guess there's alot of mixed veiw's going around, some say it's the mac on the router, some say computer and some say it's impossible for them to see a mac at all. If only there was somebody out there who could clear this up, much thanks in advance.

What happens if you have two modems? I have comcast everything. It comes with a phone modem. I told them I didn't like that so they came with a internet modem to help the signal. Then I hooked up the linksys router and I get my chosen mack address. It works weak like that so I constantly press the refresh button on the router to get it to work for basic surfing. Then when I'm done with Amazon etc.. I pull the router ethernet plug and put it back into the comcast modem and I get a new but always the same IP address with steady fast internet. Then I just use auctiva. I have no linking problems and I always make new accounts. But remember all three boxes are intertwined together throughout this and are always in a continual 'loop' at all times.

I don't have many problems with ebay using the same usb modem on ebay but for amazon sounds like I would need a new linksys router for each account.

Here is the low down and simple explanation on MAC addresses:
EBAY: Does NOT track your MAC address. They track a lot of stuff but NOT your MAC address.

AMAZON: Tracks all kinds of things INCLUDING your computers network MAC address.
You can usually get 2 accounts out of a machine before that machines MAC address is blacklisted.
After 2 accounts you must get a NEW MAC ADDRESS for that machine if you wish to continue using it for your Amazon accounts.

I should have asked this before... how do you get a new MAC address?

Yeah I know that would be the easy way but I figured that only changed the mac on your computer, having a new linksys router would assure that they can't trace you to your modem as well, of course I could be wrong.

So my computer has a Mac address. My router when changed by me hides this. But Amazon can see through my 'weak' spoof when I change the Mac address on my linksys. I do have one suspension on each of the three PC's I have. So one more suspension and the other accounts I got running all get banned on that one PC? But if I choose to log in on a safe PC those remaining accounts are safe?

So you're saying you're using a mac spoofer along with a linksys router? Have you tried using a different router for each account? or you use the same one?

I thought changing your mac address inside the linksys IS spoofing.

yea I use the same one for everything and it sucks. But I don't have a second suspension on each computer yet. I have three, one on each. So the next suspension I'll know that it's true I guess.

Not sure I haven't tried one yet, from what I've heard there's supposed to be a mac on your modem and 1 on your computer. I would of thought the router spoofs the mac on your modem then you can also download a macspoofer for your computer as well but I haven't tried it yet, I'm still trying to figure it out myself.

what about a wireless 3g type dongle mobile connection how do you change its details, as i have a mac spoofer and it does not work on this. also with this connection is it possible for them to read the IMEI, as i can not find anyway of changing this at all.

^^^^^^
From my understanding the MAC spoofing programs do not work on USB connection devices.
At least the one I use it does not.
