| | | nobody999 | 03-31-2010 08:47 AM | Another dvd seller bites the dust |
| jbluntz | 03-31-2010 11:51 AM | They made almost a million bucks and only face up to a year in jail and weren't even using multiple ebay accounts, just imagine the possibilities. |

| jbluntz | 03-31-2010 12:00 PM | It's not worth it to go that far but it can be worth it to make just enough to get started in something else. |
| Burning | 03-31-2010 07:39 PM | You guys read it wrong. It says:
The court has scheduled a sentencing hearing for Freyling and Butts for April 22. They face maximum punishments of 20 years for each count of wire and mail fraud, five years for the conspiracy, smuggling, entry of goods by false statements, Social Security fraud, and false statement counts. For each count, there is also a potential fine of $250,000. |
| jbluntz | 03-31-2010 07:51 PM | I guess I missed that part, looks like a good time head to Costa Rica. |
| OfficialGenius | 03-31-2010 07:52 PM | Someone seems to be paranoid:boink: |
| jbluntz | 03-31-2010 07:55 PM | I was reffering to the people in the article, I don't get paranoid, I do everything with 100% confidence. |
| jamblix | 03-31-2010 08:06 PM | Damn! 20-30k per month! Incredible!
I wonder if anyone on here is making that much money. I'd be happy making 5-10k a month. LOL the funny thing is they turned on each other at the end! Or actually the woman turned on the man, saying she knew nothing, using the poor old blind woman excuse and even calling him gay! HAHA! :pound:
They were getting so reckless though. Kinda feel bad almost. If they had just done a few things differently they could just have happily retired with some major cash. Looks like what they were doing is a little different from what the people on here are trying to accomplish.
Gotta be more vigilant from now on. :ninja: |

i suggest you all stop selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or this could be you and you and you... |

of course no one knows what can happen, but if you go stealth the correct way and do it smart(something majority of the board has no clue of) than youll be ok
that couple sold bogus dvds,i bought the godfather 1-3 dvd years and years ago on ebay and it was a bogus bootleg, the case was all crap, thats the type of crap they were selling, all i did was go to my local blockbuster and swap out the dvds..haha..my problem solved!
but ya you can sell anything you want to as long as you go stealth correctly,i mean worse case scenario they rarely dont go that far unless yer dealing in the 6-7 figure range and them trying to contact you to no avail
just be smart if yer going to sell bogus crap, obviously some ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff is better than other ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff and these articles come up every year, you always hear about idiots selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ crap, i mean seriously if they really really want to stop counterfeiting, they could do a way better job of doing so,i live in a fairly big city and its pretty easy to find out in the open, sure the fbi comes in every now and than and bust people, but they could do a better job if they really wanted to,i mean just look at ebay for gods sake..⊗⊗⊗⊗ heaven |

If they were after you they can easily search your ip and find the location of it. |
| vigilantex69 | 03-31-2010 09:00 PM | I'm sure they got busted because they were making $30,000 a month and ****ing the government on taxes. You can't have thousands of dollars coming in a week and not show where its from. |

hope everyone plays safe |

i mean what does the govt care more about? ⊗⊗⊗⊗ dvds or ss fraud and falsifying documents? thats pretty obvious to me |
| jbluntz | 03-31-2010 09:18 PM | @Burning Stealth does not protect you, trust me. If they were after you they can easily search your ip and find the location of it.
I thought that was the reason people hide their mac address. |
| jamblix | 03-31-2010 09:29 PM | If the FBI want to find you, they will find out regardless. People have not been using IP addresses to find criminals for the past two centuries. Play smart and don't be TOO greedy. Stupidity and greediness are the two biggest factors of people getting caught... |

| OfficialGenius | 03-31-2010 09:44 PM | They will find me If I'm stealing someone else's connection or how about using a prepaid connection.
Don't be too paranoid. You gotta take risks in life specially to make big money and invest it in property or authetic suppliers and come clean. I have a minimum of 2,000 a week goal and I'm not letting paranoia or people stop me from accomplishing it. Or at least, not anymore. ;) |
| alwaystrying | 04-01-2010 12:00 AM | These two were really deep into theft. I do not beleive that the people on this site are doing that. |
| jbluntz | 04-01-2010 12:21 AM | But have they ever caught someone in a cafe or parked car? It seems like all the people they catch are doing business from a physical location |
| OfficialGenius | 04-01-2010 12:27 AM | From a physical location because many computer thugs only focus on the money and not actually learn to disguise their location. |
| aspkin | 04-01-2010 12:29 AM | Lol... where to start?
A lack of common sense, customer care, morals... just greedy people did it to themselves. Another DVD seller bites the dust. |
It has to be a direct link. If not it's just circumstation evidence. I posted on another thread that a guy shut down about 100 cars with gps diabling devices for not paying your monthly note if he was smart he would of used a spoof or different ip but they just follow the trail ,the trail from he ip led right to him if it doesn't use his ip then what?
:spy: |
| jbluntz | 04-01-2010 12:34 AM | Also these people not only were probably selling the stuff right out of their house or office but they also had websites which are more traceable then multiple ebay accounts. If I was doing that much, any one that comes to this house isn't gonna find a single thing not even a traceable computer. |

:spy: | What if your computer is about 20 miles from where you are, do they trace it by gps or something? |
| Skys The Limit | 04-01-2010 01:56 AM | Selling Japanese porn was easier |
| jbluntz | 04-01-2010 02:02 AM | I see you're trying to get me excited again, stop that. |
No way No how. You would have to be a big threat for them to do all of that. You could be in a motor home with a strong wifi attenena how could they find you? 20 miles from your place sounds deep. You are good. We should make a website how to live a stealth life? |

But if ur importing them and haveing them sent to your home then thats all they would need to find u.
And if ur selling 30k a month your asking to get caught there not going to come after every small time seller out there.
If u did all ur bussiness through wifi hotspots they could never track u just by ip. |
| Hercules | 04-01-2010 01:11 PM | It was the money flow. The FBI goes after big money. His bank sent info to the fed's when allot of money went in and out. Plus they didn't report anything on there taxes plus he was collecting unemployment and his girl was on SS for blindness!! chumps. It's like the mafia, you got to give something to uncle Pauly upstairs (fed's). |

I went to the tanning salon yesterday and they tried to make me submit to a fingerprint scan. WTF??? I said no. So they recorded my eye color and driver's license number. It'll be the chip next and knowing how to live a stealth life will be good info to have.
//end. paranoid rant, lol. |
O wow you tan? I hope you are a blonde. |
| jbluntz | 04-01-2010 09:59 PM | You can be as stealth as you want to be as long you keep it all away from home , it's called the mobile business man. I wonder how many fbi agents are reading this thread right now? Hey fbi come get me I'm over here, no not there I'm over here now...lol I love wearing my fbi tshirt, I look pretty good standing next to my mercedes in it.
