Will ebay or paypal MAIL me something I NEED?
Trying to decide if I should go through the hassle of getting a REAL mail drop, or just use an address of a vacant home I know will never get the mail thats sent...
I'm just concerend about them mailing you a 'code' or something (google did this when I set up my adsense account).
Will I need a mail drop I can access?
If so, I was thinking of doing this:
Set up with the USPS a change of address from a vacant home nearby, forwarding all mail for my stealth account name to my actual address. (You can forward ONLY mail for one name, you dont have to do a whole family for that. I used to do this to get circuit city coupons when they offered them with a change of address online - set up a change of address for bob smith, at my mom's address, to my address. Bob smith doesnt get mail there, so nothing interrupted her mail, and I got my coupon. Both her and I got a change of address thing in the mail - which she knew to throw out. Someone at a real address may be concerned upon seeing that, but a vacant home thats been on the market for a year - no one is ever going to see that notice, or if they do it'd be too far down the road to matter)
That way anything that is mailed winds up in my mailbox. Paypal and ebay have no idea this has happened. The address is vacant so any change of address form will pile up in the mailbox for months (this home has been on the market forever) or sit at the post office in the held mail bin.
Any thoughts on that?
