My supplier also offer insurance in case it get seized they will reship free. Insurance is like $25 per $200 or something like that

Same supplier probably... LOL

My last 11 DHL packages made it through Cincinnati last week with no problems.

I am going to use DHL for the first ever soon i normally use EMS,
It is for 5 jersey for my self i wanted,
You think i will have a issue coming from China?
Since it is such a tiny order,
Thanks

It is small package for 5 ,it should be no problem if your supplier packing it well .

Bought $1000 in 2 separate orders from same supplier on DHGate that used DHL.
The first order was in 2 large boxes and showed up Christmas Eve when I wasn't home, only about 4 days after being sent.
The second arrived this past week almost as fast. So far I have had 2 shipments come through DHL and both arrived in about 4-5 days. Tracking said that they left from Hong Kong which could have helped the process of them getting through customs fast from what I have been reading.
So far I've had 2 large (about 2'x3'x3') packages shipped through DHL in Cincy without a problem since right before Christmas.

Had a moderate size packaged seized earlier this fall in Chicago that was shipped via EMS. Supplier reshipped and second one came through.

In early December I had three very small packages seized at FedEx in Memphis. Seller (who I deal with directly, not on DHGate) said he was having problems with them and would not ship FedEx until the problem was solved. Sounds like it was their turn for what appears to be these periodical crackdowns. He resent them all through EMS to the same address without any problems, although one of the three took a really long time in arriving.

I did place an order through DHGate that showed that it tracked through JFK and then was returned to the sender, so that must have been the shipper trying to sneak it around Chicago by the zip code trick.

So this thread has gotten me to thinking. Could you have a DHL order shipped to a vacant house? Does DHL have access to change of address notifications sent through the PO?
My experience DHL is they will leave a post it on the door that you can sign and leave for when they come back so you don't have to be around. If the house is close enough by your location seems like this would be a breeze. In my experience DHL updates their tracking site almost immediately after delivering, so monitoring it would be very easy as well.
If the address gets flagged, no big deal...also no letters from Customs.

I've ordered stuff in the past and for various reasons shipped the packages to another house. The key is to know when the package is delivered and go pick it up the same day the delivery attempt was made. With items coming from overseas, it may be hard to know exactly when the item is here.

A vacant house is a good idea.

There are still threads like this. But a lot of people who used to sell foo-foo's no longer do. It just isn't worth it anymore. Between the competition, customs seizures, lost accounts, angry customers and the possibility of prosecution, many people have found legitimate products to sell. Believe me, there are MILLIONS of items on eBay and not all of the niches are saturated - not even close to saturated. Yes, it takes more effort to find a legitimate product to sell, but doing so eliminates a lot of problems. You cannot build a long-term business based on selling illegal or questionably illegal products. I have not sold any of these things for years, and I am more profitable than ever. Granted, my SALES VOLUME has had to increase a bit, because profit margins on most legal items are lower, but they are NOT THAT MUCH LOWER! Take a look for yourself, research a couple of items and calculate the profit margins - you might be surprised!

As Jeff said back in 2010 you could still get stealth accounts without having to the 20k/200 restrictions and eBay was more lenient in certain categories for foo items. Times have changed and those who are left have adapted. Plus there I have heard a handful of stories about ICE raiding people who had a history of getting to many phakes in packages.
