Default working from 2 computers?

I have been selling on ebay for 8 years, and most of the time it was my full time /sole source of income - so yes I have been making a living on ebay.
Until yesterday.
I do not sell vero problem items., my main problem is shipping time / people did not like their item - really neutral things to me , I was fine for years until the recent DSR etc etc clampdown.
I did try and spread my losses by opening a few accounts , and this kind of worked for a while , but I did not know ebay links accounts and now got zapped everywhere.

Am I really glad I found this site as I was ready to hang myself yesterday.

My questions are - I have 2 laptops- would splitting up the stealth accounts over the 2 laptops be helpful from an IP point of view? Say 2 linked accounts on one , then 2 linked stealth accounts on another?

second question. I can open a bank account and use my B/F;s phone and address, but we got zapped once before because I was doing ebay once at his house from his laptop. I don't want to create a new account only to just get it shut down right off?

BTW - I just pulled an all nighter reading stealth, so I am kind of familiar with the just of things

WISH I HAD KNOWN THAT BEFORE!!!
thanks anyone for your help.

read the Stealth Book again...
you dont need 2 computers, just use different user accounts on a computer and change your ip every time you switch between them

Yea, you have to read it a few times for it to really sink in. I probably read the Stealth Book over 10 times.

Using different user may not be safe now. I have been doing this for one year, but all ebay begins to link up my accounts under different window users.

I haven't read anything about linking between user accounts. What makes you think that they have found a way to do that? How do you know that they have become "Linked"?

Sounds to me like, you might have logged into different Ebay accounts, with different Windows User Accounts, but with the Same IP Address, I know errors like that happen All the time

I Personally am NOT having any Problems currently and am running Multiple User Accounts.

Anyone else with this problem?

I use different IP for different accounts under different windows user. This works well for one year, and now my old accounts began to be hit by something like seller information update one by one. They all went down.

All new ebay id I created was hit by MC010 in around 10 minitues. Faxing photo ID will not help. There is something new going on with EBAY. They must have started looking into something else than just the IP and cookies.

If they are doing something new like hardware or something, this is a very bad thing.

kind of scary. There are so many variables. But my brain is not as big as some folks here. My 1st thought is if there is any validity to this, maybe network cards/mac address. I cant think of anything else they could reasonably look at.... If Amazon can look as deep... :(

Sounds like you're not clearing your flash objects, from what I heard flash objects have been known to leak into other windows users. Try using better privacy with firefox.

Does not cleaning flash too often put up a flag? I was under the assumption its preferred to leave flash and cookies in place on each user account.

It's preffered to leave cookies but flash can be cleared every time before and after you log in it's what I do.

I use firefox. I haven't installed any adode flash plugin. So basically there is no such flash object in my computer.

There's also DOM storage objects which ,along with flash, are known as the super cookies that can leak, you gotta get those super cookies.

I meant google DOM storage objects, not super cookies flash is one of them but there's other stuff too. Try this one:

Introduction to DOM Storage

after reading the link you put up for like five seconds it says that these DOM objects were introduced into IE 8. Would this mean just using an older version would avoid having to deal with DOM objects? This would arouse suspicion with ebay tho wouldn't it?......any way, back to that article to read more!

I don't know I'm not the tin man all I know is I use "better privacy" with firefox and it removes DOM storage as well as some other stuff and it works for me.
