can you fax black and white documents to paypal? If you fax your documents online paypal gets them colored or b&w? If you fax from shop that has only a b&y fax machine will ebay accept it ?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
I plan on opening another account but i will be using my real name. I live at a new address that was never used with ebay so i can use my real address also.
My question is, When they ask you to fax documents and i fax over my drivers license, do they just use it to verify your information by looking at it or do they run your drivers license number? if they run the number then they will most likely find my old address right?
Im assuming whiting out the number is not a good thing to do.
yes, black and white copies are fine..just faxed over my docs last week...and they were all black and white..also faxed from regular landline fax and also from uploaded docs to online fax service...
they had asked for a refax of one document due to it not coming over so clearly on their end but just tweaked doc and made it brighter and sent it over and was approved.
they are just looking for the name and address and possibly date of birth...they don't know what you look like or how much you weigh or how you sign your name...and maybe just want to see an actual piece of identification that has your name on it...i can only speak for my experience but the drivers license i faxed over didn't have on it the state holograms that the dmv adds to them for security reasons...and it still passed...course now that i just mentioned this..watch ebay make this a new requirement...maybe i said too much..oops..signing off now.
one more thing before i disappear...i had to stop "thinking" too much into the whole thing..and realize that I wasn't sending docs to the C.I.A...but ONLY to Ebay...they don't have high tech equipment like at the White House...and try to relax and realize that my "over thinking" into the situation was making me neurotic and psyching myself into a frenzy.
No, I am Pretty sure that they save all this information in Case something happens with the Account that gets a Branch of "Law Enforcement" involved, Then they simply turn over All the Information that they have on file reguarding the account to them and let them "Sort it out".
I believe that they do this in order to Promote an "Atmosphere of Cooperation" with Law Enforcement, It is VERY VALUABLE Public Relations for them.
I was told from someone over at Ebay that they destroy everything but I didn't believe that.
Yea, Right
Watch and see how fast the Cops show up at your house if you commit a Crime using Ebay on an Account with Real Information that you have Provided them.
I faxed over documents before and was told that the documents were too dark and unreadable. Then faxed them again, and have not heard back from them yet.

Had the same exact thing told to me when i faxed mine in...just lightened them up a little and refaxed and in about 72 hours they were approved..i was sweating bullets those 72 hours but all turned out ok..maybe they are taking longer than normal.
Too many cases of cops showing up at people's door these days...selling proper or improper, i would not want them having my real info with them. Any stink rises - always the possibility of foul play.
That makes me more nervous now!
Even though we are suspended, I faxed over my husband's driver's license & no, we haven't done anything illegal but this makes me nervous knowing they have his personal information.
I would be nervous too but just put that in the back of your mind and carry on. No sense worrying about what's done. Just better to know from now on. I hate all these establishments having my ID information on record for so many reasons.
If those Older suspended Accounts owe Money and they do Connect you, all they can do is "Try to Collect" thats really it (Unless of Course it is some Crazy amount) Other that that as Long as No Crime was commited on the Account, You will be Fine.
OK, thanks because yes, we do owe some fees on some older accounts & were unable to pay them once our accounts went down.
Crime consisting of fraudulent merchandise, not shipping, etc. correct?
Slapped is right - if you're not involved in crime you should be ok. Only thing is if eBay ever decides they want to go after funds owed, well, they know how do a credit hit.
