Default Buyer problems

This guy purchased software from me. A week later he files a dispute and says item is not as described. He says the packaging was opened and asked if the activation codes worked. I was out of town and didn't check my messages.

I logged into my account today to see that dispute. I called him. I told him that the package wasn't opened when I shipped it. I asked him had he installed the software. He said yes and that he was using it. I said well the product certainly couldn't have been used because the activation code is only good on one computer. He says he wants his money back because the box seemed to be repackaged....what can I possibly do?

I had a similar problem. I sent software to a guy who claimed it was defective.
I told him it was basically the product code he was buying but I would send him another install disk.
A week later he claimed he never received the second disk and wanted his money back and also a "friend" gave him a disk that worked so now he wants his money back.
Before I could respond, he then filed a dispute against me with PayPal claiming the item was not as described.
I fought this one tooth and nail and eventually lost. I wished now I had not been a nice guy sending him a replacement.

In your case since the software is working, maybe a judgement will fall in your favor.

I gave ebay a call because the buyer was being a di*k this morning. The rep on the phone decided to file in my favor.
