I created a stealth account with a variation of my real name and I used a neighbour's address. I'm worried that if Ebay/PP send me any mail, ie seller report which they sent me with old account, then the mail will get returned to sender, and i'm in trouble.

sasasa, change the address, in fact its even worse to mix your name with neighbour address, it leads straight to you being behind it. GB is right to you and OP, do not do this, as the saying goes, dont s..t on your own doorstep.

the best address for ebay and paypal is a real one with real ID to match etc etc, failing that it is a question of degrees of stealth, with your neighbours or arch-enemies house at the bottom of the list.....how about 10 Downing St?

I'm from America and even *I* know that is where the Prime Minster lives.
But you COULD get CREATIVE (although it might be dangerous).
Like selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and using the address of the local police station.
Or selling adult stuff and using the address of a church.
BTW: 10 Downing must be the most famous address in London. Of course, I have HEARD of Buckingham Palace, but I couldn't tell you what their address is.

But, YES, I would imagine that if PayPal has mail returned to them, it would be a big red flag. In the US, I have never received a letter from PayPal.
Also, while I am generally not in favor of higher taxes anywhere, if things are so tight that Her Majesty has to open the mail, you might want to consider a small tax increase. | |

Maybe there is some option in Ebay where you can receive this by email only.

I have used addresses where parks are located, so for instance if there are homes at 1000-1600 Elm St, then a park and houses at 2000 Elm Street and on up I'll register the account with the address of 1650 Elm Street. Has worked so far.
I once made up an address for an account out of thin air and within a week it was shut down for having a bogus address.
I think they can check to see if the address exists in reality, but there is no way to keep up-to-the-minute records on who resides at every address that there is

The account that I lost had a number like 2800 and I think the street ended at 1600 or something thereabouts so there was no way the address could have existed.
Set up an account once at 1206 xwy street when the real numbers went from 1204 to 1208. The account was shut down, but I believe that it was because of non-paid ebay fees of stuff listed for a friend and not because of the address.

Pop a letter A or B before your address if you really want to receive something - make a slight typo in your address street - it works.

I guess I could spend 44 cents and try to find out

So I have already set up a stealth account using 5, high street instead of my actual address which is 10 high street.
Should I change my address to 10a High Street?, or use a totally new address, maybe it will be more suspicious to make a slight alteration to an address rather than change address altogether, so it looks like I just moved.
Really can't afford for this stealth account to go down because I only have the one stealth right now that i'm ageing, and i'm overseas so can't create more accounts because of my foreign ip(anyone know a good way to get around this, VPN etc?)

sasasa, 10a high st is good, maybe a year or so after youve been banned on the address, I wouldnt recycle a (tweaked) banned addresss straight away.
If you have just been banned fairly recently, go for a different address eg. pobox.....later on you can use 10a, it gives ebays systems time to forget you a bit and allows for realistic new tennant at that property... .

10-A High St. would work. No 234 is not a good alternative to 1234 - mail would get lost - 1234-B Main Street or so.

i had an account runing on a total bogus address, but with my postcode and the mail still turns up at my address .
i used a similar street in the same city but the P.C Was different so i used mine .
Highgate street - lowgate street
15 lowgate street
so and so city
highgate P.C
I did this as a test it worked for a while, it got shut down the other day when i tried to change the postcode only after been asked for the usual, i think it would have been o.k this way if i had changed the postcode sooner .

po box is o.k but you better looking for a virtual address or mail forwarding address, Just google it, you get a real street address . same thing but with out the p.o box, or at worst you could use a private p.o box but put unit whatever or suite whatever, or your stealth name, instead of p.o box, if that makes sense .

sasa, I know it isnt easy but the options are all here on forum, isnt a magic solution , real address better than pretend one, due to needing a place for a letter if location verification goes wrong...
you can change a door number to a house name - thats an idea
