Activity: 0% Longevity: 90% | | Paypal destroy me
...just got paypal limited, not once, but twice in one day! To top it off, my eBay seller account has been NARU'd!
Im really starting to hate eBay and especially paypal!
I had a 6month old accoutn with 10 positive feedback, all fom sales.
Paypal was verified.
I HAVE around £700 in the account.
My bank account attached to the paypal was closed so I could not withdraw the money.
I got my friend to setup a verified paypal account so I could send him the money and he could withdraw for me.
Week 1: I sent and withdrew £100. All was fine.
Week 2: I sent £360 and withdrew. The next morning (today) I got both paypal accounts suspended which "cannot be appealed against" and my ebay account suspended.
They said theyre going to keep the money in my account for 180 days!
I got MC113 [limited account] and MC181 [PFA notice ebay listings cancelled]
I havent done anything yet, thought I'd ask on here first and see how to diagnosis the situation...

What are they asking you to do to remove limitations?
And why was you eBay NARU'ed? Unless your eBay was selling wrong stuff and issues, I don't see why a paypal transfer would auto-affect eBay...

Well theyre not asking for anything right now.
on my friends paypal account they asked him what the money sent to him was for.
he said the £100 was for household expenses and the £300 amount was for rent.
Im also puzzled as to why it has affected my ebay account. ebay arent asking for anything except to resolve all issues with paypal first...im stumped!..

Wow - I have had limitations before and ebay has not been affected.
You transaction history with paypal and items sold must have really thrown some flags up - probably a direct representative review.

Sounds like they closed the account cos of money laundering issue. They dont seem to like when you transfer funds from one account to another and then withdraw

How many times did you send money to your friend? This could have pulled the trigger.

Vokonta: Thats what i was thinking - money laundering.
It was relatively small amounts £100 and £360
Anything I can do to appeal this?
OfficialGenius:
"Week 1: I sent and withdrew £100. All was fine.
Week 2: I sent £360 and withdrew. The next morning (today) I got both paypal accounts suspended which "cannot be appealed against" and my ebay account suspended."
Rsot: I hadnt sold anything on the account for a 2.5 weeks

Dont understand why the bank account was closed? Was that before the limitation(s)?
Quickly reading it, it seems your paypal behaviour has triggered the ebay NARU because you look too much of a risk to both parties.

How do you send money to your friend account?
The way I do is send a request for the amount that I want to transfer and make up it is for something and login to other account and pay for that invoice and then withdrawn Quote:

Bank account got closed in error GB
hpcpqcsco: I was thinking of doing it this way, rather I simply sent the money and then withdrew a couple of hours later. Guess its better for everyone to do it this way in future.
So Im not really too sure what to do now interms of getting access to my funds???...

If there was a short cut it would be awesome. But there isn't a safe one... If you mess around with bouncing funds or trying any method other then paypals withdraw system you will end up miserable
Some people have success moving money from one paypal to another. But I say its a bad idea and will just end poorly most of the time.

So Im not really too sure what to do now in terms of getting access to my funds???... | Do I want to go there about an account being closed in error? Oh dear. Paypal
may not back down and give you the funds earlier.
Have you got the parting of the ways notice and we will give you back the funds in 180 days. Or did you get the go away we hate you notice?
May be a chance of solution, maybe.. What contact have you had with paypal since this happened?

"As part of our commitment to offering a safe transaction network for all of
our valued members, we regularly screen account activity. During one of
these screenings, we reviewed your account and determined that the activity
associated to your eBay or PayPal accounts poses an inherent risk to the
overall security of our network. Unfortunately, due to this risk, we have
determined that we are no longer able to offer the use of our services to
you.
Although you are no longer able to utilize PayPal services, you may still
log into your PayPal account to review the information associated to your
use of our services for a limited time.
In accordance with PayPal s User Agreement, the balance of your PayPal
account will be held for 180 days to protect PayPal against the risk of
reversal stemming from buyer claims, chargebacks, or other reversal rights
that may have been assigned to a consumer outside of PayPal and eBay s
policies. After the180-day period has passed, any remaining funds will be
available to you for withdrawal, less any additional amounts owed to PayPal
or eBay.
Additionally, eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously disputed
to the billing method currently on file and you will be credited for any
listings that were ended.
While we regret having to make this decision, please understand that the
decision was based on criteria set forth in the User Agreements for both
PayPal and eBay. You can view our User Agreements in their entirety by

Thats the email I got...any suggestions on how to reinstate?
All I did was send some money from one account to another. There are options such as "personal payment owed" when sending money, so why cant I make use of this feature without having my account banned/suspended???....

Because of the accidental closing of the bank account. paypal perceives such an action as a threat to their(paypal) ability to (re)claim funds if something goes wrong.
Have you your thinking cap on,cortex? Read this and think hard......

They know when a withdrawal is returned to them. Or when they try to take money out.

Try that with a new account....
Nobody has to listen if they wish. But if thinking you can just move money out of a new paypal account and withdraw with no problems, have at her....
