| | | newtools | 09-29-2010 02:28 AM | Wifi Decoders - any thoughts? The Chinese made wifi adapters with high gain antenas that reach far. 9 db gain.
they come with software that you put in your drive and reboot your computer. you click and it autoloads and give you "back track 4" with wep crack icons.
it sniffs networks and decrypts the ketwork key. decrypting takes a few mins but instead of trying to get new ip's, what if you could just log onto someones else network and when u get shut down to move on to another
free wifi, and as many ip's as you can sniff Wholesale-2010 Comfast 10G CF 1000UG 802.11b/g High Power Wireless USB Adapter |
This is sick ha...but of course, if other networks have passwords, that can't be bypassed....right? |
You can use sniffer tools to get wep passwords. But not as slick and automatic as this.
Problem with borrowed IPs is you dont know if that person has PayPal account or worse a problem account. So it puts your account at a very high risk.
You could use it for personal cruising and have your home IP to spare. But borrowed IPs is just way too risky for a money making account |
True pod - but I didn't realize it's so easy to access someone's network if wifi encryption in place.
If someone can pm me with a nice way to block other people from accessing my network - would be nice ha. |
In your router settings there are various choices on what security mode you choose. It will vary from model. You can make it very secure if you wish
Type into browser for setup
192.168.1.1
or
192.168.0.1 |
Ah ok - the linksys welcome admin page |
| aspkin | 09-29-2010 11:35 AM | Everyone is a hacker now... Lol. |
| Stigger | 09-30-2010 12:31 PM | yea wep is simple and can be done in a few minuets, wpa and wpa2 is harder but can still be done but you need a real good dictionary and an element of luck.
back track 4 is a good tool, i loved it when i tried it a while back , but there are better programs for that kind of thing and you do need to know how to use it as its Linux based
a good way to set up encryption is to just let certain computers on the network via mac/nic address and give your router login a real good password. |
| imjustme | 09-30-2010 12:41 PM | Interesting. With that kind of range I should get a signal from my local StarBucks. .. |
| newtools | 09-30-2010 11:26 PM | lol i'm glad I added this I like putting interesting things like this out there!
The wifi decoders have high gain antennas that can reach 250km or more.
also the power does matter, all the wifi decoder manufactures are in cina of course. Some chips are 8g 10G 20G -
What i like about certain decoders is that the software that comes with it acts as a boot disk. You just put it into your dvd drive and rebook your computer. No konsole
comand line. needed.
It auto runs Back 4 and allows you to just choose a mac address to decode.
most of them do WEP but if you want to secure ur network just log into your router, the url ip address: 192.168.0.1
192.168.1.1
if you have Dsl :192.168.254.1
Change your wireless settings to WPA, WPA2
encryption: AES
with the right high gain antenna you can sniff networks up to miles away.
There is a reason why i put this in the subscribed area. That's were u get the good stuff |
| newtools | 10-02-2010 10:40 PM | hackers unite lol. looking at premod modems. who knows Haxorware 1.1 rev39 well?
as i know Haxoware is the best firmware for Sb modems 5100, 5101
I understand that you can sniff and change config profiles to upgrade your speed but you can also swap modem macs, ips and spoof and even manufacture.
Do you have to use openDns to by pass the activation page or is there an easier option to get on and is basic cable required? I know that dreambox is a Linux system that pretty much only requires the trap to be removed for watching. |
Are there not legal limits on wifi range? Not that it maters for this discussion. But I was lead to believe we could easily have much greater range with all or wifi products like phones and adapters but there are limits in place. True? |
| newtools | 10-03-2010 12:19 AM | You can go several miles to 20 + miles depending on your application. Wifi or 802.11x is used in commercial applications as well. A good high gain antenna based on Dbi gain will increase your range. I have know people who worked on wireless applications where apartment buildings, office buildings, and even boat docs were setup with multiple high gain antennas and repeaters. I have even know of downtown area with full wifi or blue tooth. With bluetooth they call it: Bluecity
Depending on your needs you can look for a: Yagi antenna which is directional. You have to pint it in a direction you are gain or sending signals too.
Or an omni directional - and grid.
Omini you do not have to point in a certain direction. If you are looking to go over 12 - 15 dbi gain then you may want to make sure you are using shielded mini coaxial cable. Since these high gain antennas are outdoor antennas and the use or a powerful repeater can cause an electrical field. a repeater just extends your range big time.
The wifi decoders that are from china usually have a 6 - 9 dbi gain. to sniff it would give you a 50km to 250km range. you can change the antenna on the decoder using the mini din coaxial cable connect. it looks like a tv cable connection but it's allot smaller. Just buy a high gain antenna with a male to female connection. the higher the gain the longer the range.
cell phones only have a long range because the amount of towers that repeat and relay the signals. wifi works the same way. Purchase 5MileWIFI Gear
there are much much cheaper options i will find more. |

| newtools | 10-03-2010 12:31 AM | me like to blow ur mind! lol
50km to 250km is with a 9dbi gain antenna that the wifi decoders with, imagine 27 dbi gaon or 30 dbi gain?
150km - 750 km - if you get a repater, 500mw to 1 watt. you can amplify that 10 |
| digirally | 10-03-2010 01:51 PM | This only applies to WEP secure networks as their encryption algorithm is already cracked. my home network is already on WPA2.. but i'm sure there are loads of networks still on WEP encryption..
but remember, breaking and entering protected networks is illegal, and there are logs of all your traffic |
| newtools | 10-03-2010 04:12 PM | yes, but there are tools for wpa, wpa2 encryption you just have to have knowledge of how to use the programs and in allot cases command line. But for the purpose of borrowed Ip with the right antenna you will find plenty of networks. |
Certainly some cool stuff. But borrowing IPs for something that you make money off and putting same money at risk of being locked up is not a great idea in my opinion
I mean, its not like IPs are hard to get and/or expensive. Of all the things we have to do thats pretty much the easiest. |
| newtools | 10-03-2010 04:23 PM | what about premod modems
are u familiar with Hexoware 1.1 39 and sb5101 modems. If not flashing yourself and you buy one already flashed is hexoware or sierra based firmware easier to use? do you need to use opendns to bypass activation page? I am pretty technical but i have not played with premods |
I was going to clone an sb5101, I actually have an extra one laying around. Great for free internet. But again, have to be careful on IP. Never know what that IP is attached to...
I got an account limited because my android used my friends wifi when at his house for 15 minutes. It never dawned on me to ask if he was using PayPal, let alone that his account was limited. And bang, account gone
I may still get the jtag and clone for non business use. But I will never share an IP or borrow one |
| philly387 | 10-03-2010 07:35 PM | I have become very, VERY good with the haxorware firmware. Been using it for quite some time now. It all kind of depends on what ISP you have. Quote:

There would be no way to use two modems off the same single ISP connection in one house would there? |
| newtools | 10-04-2010 12:53 AM | the object is stealth internet and you can change ip by way or router, by changing the last 2 numbers. My question is weather opendns is needed. I don't think so. from what i have seen on you tube, you just go to network connects, and preferences and point the ip and subnet to the modem. Then there is a process of getting a good config file and adding it! You can get Haxoware firmware for free but it's a process to flash.
Haxoware has a certified buyers list of guys that sell on ebay only about 5-6
They are pretty cheap until you get into max memory 16mb, 32mb. for buffering.
and usb jtag. Philly387 - is 1.1 39rv the latest?
also i am ref Comcast affinity x | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:01 PM. | |
