hmmm... interesting. I really thought it was a rolling 30 days

I certainly understand the 40+ logic... probably why I didn't notice.

HurricaneHuntr 01-02-2011 04:58 PM

Once one goes, they all go...So nothing new heh

Lol, how the heck do you handle 40 accounts?

jbluntz 01-02-2011 05:50 PM

Easy, with only 10 items per month you can sell that in 1-2 days then move on to another one.

HurricaneHuntr 01-02-2011 05:55 PM

ehh i guess if ebay was my only source of income, i could see going crazy with it.

If you're selling foofoo and importing that much.. man i hope you cover your tracks well

sax4 01-02-2011 05:57 PM

I was thinking generally, logistically, all those accounts, user accounts, ip's. I'm sure you got it down to an art though!

jbluntz 01-02-2011 06:07 PM

I keep track of everything by the e-mail and use phone tethering, new ip each time you log in and I don't keep them all on user accounts, I use 1 user clear flash cookies etc.

Ah I see, well using mobile broadband modems like i'm using, are supposed to give you a new IP every time, but that's not my experience so far. I will also give tethering a go.

I also think with having loads of user accounts there is an increased chance of slipping up somehow.

jbluntz 01-02-2011 06:26 PM

Not much is gonna happen even if you did slip up, I've logged into other accounts with same ip before on accident and nothing happened even if something did, it's only 2 accounts that would get linked not 40.

sax4 01-02-2011 06:33 PM

I see, so you have 40 bank accounts?!

jbluntz 01-02-2011 06:37 PM

No I don't, I don't need 40 bank accts.

sax4 01-02-2011 06:41 PM

They don't all have Paypal accounts then?, or are some overseas accounts you withdraw to VCC?

jbluntz 01-02-2011 06:46 PM

They all have paypals, you don't need to just withraw the money, there's other things you can do like buy stuff.

sax4 01-02-2011 06:51 PM

Great, good idea, thanks.

J, You sell 10 items right away on a brand new account with 0 feedback with no issues and in 1-2 days?

True, you can also send money to other paypal accounts with bank accounts attached. I wouldn't make this a habit but 2-3 times in a month time isn't bad. I do it all the time.

Yep, I suppose if you had a load of accounts then then chance of being linked would be pretty low if you only made a couple of transfers a month to different accounts

I usually start with 1 then add more later.

aking 01-03-2011 02:52 PM

Yea, if u have 40 accounts it is very easy to spread sales out.

bmwsouthside 01-04-2011 01:20 AM

Might help you with listings

I have experimented with listings on new accounts for the last 30 days guys and gals.
Paypal reps are liars and ebay reps are liars.
One paypal rep did tell me AFTER I BEAT HIM DOWN (with words) for 45 minutes that you can list all that you want BEFORE you hit the 10 items. I went ahead to list about 40 items ACTIVE while I had the 10 item limit like he told me.
Basically, you can list 100 items if you have the time that day but know for sure once 10 items end and are completed you will wait out the time to list again (hope that makes sense) (this was my experience)
as feedback rolls in the limit will be lifted higher. I was blocked from listing for 2 days but as feedback rolled in I was able to list 2 days later and wasnt stopped again for that initial listing limit. so it turned out not to be a factor after all.
stay on your toes guys. these rules are changing every day. ebay and paypal are obviously trying to keep all of us off balance. you have to think ahead and prepare with multiple accounts.
Paypal is suspended accounts at a very high rate right now for negative and neutral feedbacks and low dsr 1s and 2s. focus on customer service is my advice to everyone. ebays buyers suck and we all know it. I list less and less on ebay these days because of the hassles. other venues are better. I did about $1600 the week before xmas and withdrew $1300 from paypal before I was limited for 180 days. no reason given from the clowns at paypal yet.I got a negative for 99 cent item. got a neutral for a 99 cent item that I was selling just for easy feedback. that backfired buyers still complained. ebay is in the gutter.
NOTE:Problem is most buyers dont leave feedback anymore! EBAY tells buyers feedback is optional which DOES NOT help us get paid. im getting 5 feedback out of 10 sales. Mostly threats of negative feedback looms over your head from bad ebay buyers.

HurricaneHuntr 01-04-2011 04:48 AM

50% is lucky, its like %20 feedback rate for me, only my TRS gets more feedback than the other stealths

That's not entirely true. I have many accounts where I listed and after 10-11 listings it told me that I had reached the limit for this month. You can squeeze a few more through, possibly 13-14 if you prepare all listings and submit them all within the same 5-10 seconds, but after the eBay counter updates you're limited to 10.
