Default UK customs seizure

Just had a seizure by UK customs..1st time ever. Strange cos parcel wasnt really large ..30 boxes of male sex supplement. Pill is clearly marked as herbal supplement. Box was bout 3.5 kg

Got a letter from MHRA whom customs contacted for advise. The letter says, the drug is unlicensed??? and that 30 boxes means it is commercial purpose.
The letter is contradictory cos it says pills are unlicensed but yet somewhere else on the letter, it suggest i should get a license. They want me to confirm to them within 14 days that i have ceased trading in these king of activity and no longer have intention to trade in such items.

How did they jump at all these conclusions??

2 questions are: Should i ignore them
and secondly, do u think my address would be blacklisted...if so, how is this possible cos surely tons of packages are received each day. Does this mean they manually check every address label?

Right. Do not respond, reply or make any contact with customs. Ignore it. Don't be stupid and get more goods sent to the same address. Customs are cracking down hard in the U.K. mainly because of terrorist and the Conservative's need to try and eliminate 'crime'. It's hard to get stuff in at the moment, and if you look on eBay for example the number of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items (for example trainers) have fallen because of the recent seizures. You need a new address, and I wouldn't import any more dodgy stuff for a while unless you liking throwing your money away.

The post code for the address is certainly flagged. You're asking how is this possible because they receive so many packages they would have to process the addresses. How do you think the packages end up at the addresses???

While forummember's advice would generally be in agreement, it tends to refer to the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ clothes and such seizures, pills are seen as more serious because they can harm people. Getting more seizures would certainly result in further action. As it's first time, nobody on here is in a legal profession position to comment.

Did the paskage have your real name on it?

No, Parcel had my stealth name but of cos my correct address.

Sorry, with rgds to parcels at border post entry, i was under the impression that customs pick up boxes at random. I didnt think every single one was checked physically and address noted. I thought it was courier that process address for delivery etc

Usually they do pick parcels at random (random really being the wrong word... they pick parcels depending on size, packaging, anything strange).

The addresses are processed, of course it would be too time consuming to open and inspect every one so they have certain suspicions that would warrant further investigation, such as X-Ray, known or frequent addresses, the exterior of the package, sometimes just random, and others.
