| paulcenter | 11-11-2010 11:00 AM | 21 day hold, any way to avoid it?? Hi
I wish to become dropshipper but my first payment is on hold by PP. Im afraid to pay to supplyer from my own pocket cause i dont have a warranty that pp will not open dispute against me and aske me for all details. My a/c is you know guys.(stealh). I bought stealth book but there is not much about it.
Im wonder if there is a way to pass 21hold nice and slow:)
Cheers

Welcome to the forums.
1. Using the same paypal to pay your supplier is not necessarily a good thing.
2. There is 100% way that works except fast shipping, positive feedback, and being patient. And keeping your activity nice and worked out.
3. This 21 day hold is being applied all over the place and randomly.
Hope to see more of your contributions and experiences =) |

And what do you mean by this rsot? |
By that statement, I mean - sending proper items, e-mailing winners+inquiries+requests of refund quickly. Acting like you care =)
And also - with paypal - not to try to do massive withdraws right away like some fly-by-nighter |
Superdude | 11-11-2010 12:52 PM | What would you say is a safe amount to withdraw at a time to keep under the radar? |
Really depends on the account and longetivity - there is no set amount except $0...which is useless of course.
Lot of people seem to have success in the sub 500 range initially but still that all depends. I would guesstimate 150-250 would work ok just don't drain the paypal to zero. |
siccspitz | 11-11-2010 04:26 PM | - positive feedback will release your funds immediately
did for me :P
be sneaky about it - withdrawl if you have 500 in there - 125 per week.
with time they will let you withdrawl more but you need to stay out of trouble and dont generate too much of income or they will flag you down and ask for docs on how you generating money
just go slowly take baby steps and let the account generate some time to do more actions. |
needabuck | 11-11-2010 05:42 PM | i am also on the 21 day hold, i guess i am making rookie mistakes. I have two ebay accounts with 2 different paypal accounts. because i am selling makeup/jerseys one account is very old 11 years i have 82 feedback, i used it rarely..now that i am trying to sell the above formentioned i got limited on the number of auctions...so you guessed it i opened up another account under DH's name bank account. so i listed the same stuff on his site....got greedy and made auctions larger,,,one sold then i randomly started getting flagged. so i ended all of the auctions to avoid getting suspended for the vero alerts. so anyway i am going to lay low for a while and see what happens . i found this website...but i was hoping to be running full blast before the holidays!! |

Melissa1971 | 11-13-2010 03:42 AM | HI Paul. About the 21 day hold, an email reply I got from Paypal a few days ago said as a matter of factly that all new accounts are on a 21 day hold. I guess this was to make me feel better
That they will credit my $25 when the buyer leaves positive feedback or after 21 days. But on my account page, it never gives a date when they will stop holding my money. The email explains it in detail, their process but I was too impatient to read the jargon. They sure spent alot of time on the email to me writing it out. Strange they don't have a pdf or their facts stated in writing but you can't change the rules when you feel like it that way.
Yet they never addressed my words which said "I delinked my bank account so when/if they want to let me know when I can sell and get paid, it would be appreciated or just close the account." Again, neither of these did they address.
To go through the maze to get to even talk to customer support, answering questions retaining pin numbers then they call you back or finding an email address is too much of a pain for me. My Amazon account velocity limit is probably pretty high anyhow with 25% fb and no refunds so I would rather just focus on those two accounts. The first one is doing really well, I am having no problems and the second is still pretty new yet.
I replied back to Paypal telling them I refunded the customer and they are sending me the money directly (which is true).
We'll see if they will close my Paypal acct or not at my request
The bank account associated with it is being closed tomorrow.
EBAY/Paypal is such a pain compared to Amazon that I don't want to deal with it. I hope you get your funds reinstated soon, but aside from imputing tracking numbers, and requesting feedback upfront before shipping well...all I think you can do is place some additional buyer requirements in the Ebay listings. It really needs to be worded right though. Not shipping the product until full payment is rendered. if they use Paypal, then payment is due within 48 hrs or alternate payment methods must be available as immediate back up.
This is what I did on my established EBAY Account i've had for years and it worked fine, buyer just put the money into my account under a different heading (Gift I think). Sadly Paypal thinks after they hold an echeck on my established ebay account of a couple hundred fb (1/2 are buyer 1/2 as a Seller) at 100% that i am going to upgrade to their premium acct. They give me no reason to trust them already, they've got to be kidding that I will upgrade so I can block echecks. That's probably another lie anyhow.
Just my two cents but that may be all it's worth  *rant over* :D |
same here, just 0.99 released

nicetrypaypal | 11-15-2010 04:08 PM | all new accounts arent 21 day holds. only new accounts associated with ebay,
if it is associated with ebay motors, money is released immediately. |
HurricaneHuntr | 11-15-2010 05:02 PM | They can decipher the difference in sales? And if so, can you make an ebay motors account and then sell on regular ebay? |
jerseykat1 | 11-17-2010 09:06 AM | excellent question bizzy. why dont you give it a try. matter of fact i am going to give this a try. |

lagoonclub | 11-17-2010 12:21 PM | Created 7 stealth accounts, it seems like 6 of them have PP 21 day holds and 10 selling limit on eBay. One of them doesn't have either restriction. I have done the exact same things in creating all 7 accounts, maybe the random name and address worked out in my favor this time? |

lagoonclub | 11-17-2010 12:55 PM | Yeah I am, going good so far. One of the accounts was limited on PP after I tried withdrawing. I only withdrew about $100, but I guess it was still enough to trigger. Had to send in "invoices", "supplier contact info" and second credit card. I am expecting them to review and have it go through. |
