Default Using VCC to verify location on limited account.

My account was limited and I was asked to provide credit card info used to open account, which I did, no problem.

Also, it wants me to verify my location. I was told that using a VCC (bought from here) is used by some people, so I tried it. It will not take it. It does not even make sense that PP would take something like that, since there is no way to connect the VCC that I bought to the name and address on the PP account.

Has anyone actually had this work with a VCC that they bought?

I bought a VCC here for my limited PP.

PP needed a CC to confirm location, along with my supplier info and invoices. I provided all 3 of those things and was limited after a couple of hours.

I can't be certain that it was the VCC that didn't work.

I've used VCC's from loads of sellers across the interenet; they definately work.

When I go to the resolution center, it just keeps showing that I have done everything except provide the cc for location verification. Everything else on the list is checked off. The account is still limited for this reason.

Markk, are you saying you have used these on limited PP accounts and it worked? It unlocks the account?

Also, we are talking anout a VCC that I bought here for a few bucks and I gave no info. It is good for 24 hours and the numbers were emailed to me.

If PP actually checks, then of course there is no way for this to work. ...or maybe I just did something wrong.

I just want to verify which it is. Thanks people, you guys are always a huge help.

But did you try it on a limited account. my understanding is that they work fine when setting up an account but they dont work to get a limitation removed.

Yeah, I've added a VCC to a limited Paypal account twice, it didn't remove the limitation (I didn't expect it to nor add it for that reason) I still had to send in the docs.

Exactly what I hear. I have heard a couple of people say they work on limited accounts, but only VCC sellers. Now, I am not saying they lied, just stating a fact.

I bought a vcc and it didn't let me enter it, instead I just called them up and they lifted the limitation

Call ups are fine when the account holds no standing to you AND you have the phone you registered w/ it.

why wouldn't it be under your phone? its so much easier for a stealth account just to call them instead of sending in all that junk and wasting your money on a vcc that prob wont work anyways

AVS work fine. with that you have to reg. infos. only reason to do this is to confirm location during a limitation. Otherwise no reg. need for just an account verification to lift send and withdraw limits.
