Default Stealth and Paypal Micropayments

Stealth and Paypal Micropayments

Are the two compatible? Does anyone have any experience with Paypal Micropayments when operating stealth?

I just came across this micropayment thing on Paypal.
I didn't even know this existed before... they sure like to hide things from us when it gets them less money!
This micropayments account would save me a lot of money and I would like to make a stealth micropayments PP to use with stealth eb.
Can this be done? Is it done the same way as a normal PP?
I don't really understand what you are saying here.
I also want to link a normal PP account to the same eb.
So two stealth PPs to one stealth EB.
I would link both PPs to the same stealth bank acc.
PP suggests using 1 micro and 1 normal acc so its definitely allowed, as sometimes you want the payment into the micro and sometimes into the normal, depending on the value.

I can report that stealth + micropayments work fine, in fact you can move back and forth between micro and normal without drawing any adverse attention, in my experience.

Hope this helps

Thanks.
What do you mean by move back and forth between micro and normal?
Do you mean changing the Paypal between micro and normal or changing the PP address in EB?

By the way, about this micro account, can I convert a normal PP into a micro account and how?
I only found the PP website to sign up for a new micropayment.
And it has to be a merchant or premier account, isn't it?
Do you need to be a business?
Because I saw that the micro sign up page asked for some company info.
Can I just make some stuff up?

Thanks for your replies.

Stealth and micropayments are good. No large amounts, lots of 'satisfied' customers - makes Paypal and Ebay purr like kittens - excellent modus operandi for building long lasting accounts

I'm not sure about Canada lumberjack but over here if you take mainly small payments you can opt for micropayments.

Instead of 3.4% + 20p you pay 5% + 5p

If your payments are under £10 it's worth it - do the maths
(note that - maths not math - English don't you know)

You do not lose anything if you use it with larger amounts than £10, do you?

Yes - it's still 5%+5p - do the maths on £100

Normal account = Paypal fee of £3.60
Micropayment account = Paypal fee of £5.05

Only works for payments under £10

This is nicely explained in simple terms by GrannyT.

It's only available for US, UK, AU and EU.
Also your buyer will need to be in US for you to get a micropayment rate to your US account.
A buyer from UK paying to your US account will pay the normal rate, for example.

"PayPal offers support for Micropayments to merchants for US to US, GB to GB, AU to AU, and EU to EU transactions for Business and Premier accounts."

The PP website with more information:
https://www.paypalobjects.com/Integr...opayments.html

Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a normal account to a micro account?

If you have already verified your normal account, and then open another micropp account to link to the same eBay, do you have to do the PP verification with CC and bank again?

Yep, the civilised paypal sites

J/K there.

There was talk of Canada allowing this.

Certainly Canada is on the list of approved countries.

May be worthwhile confirming this, rsot.

You ask to convert any Premier or business account to micropayment. Takes 48 hours for the change.

Do they ask for any docs if your PP is already verified?

So for a normal account, you will need to first convert it to a Premier or Business account.
I guess this is easy enough?

Btw, what is the difference between a normal, Premier and Business acc?
I could never find proper info on this on their website.
Do you need a business registration for Premier acc?

Thanks!
