Default eBay Limits, What accounts don't have any?

So I am wondering if there are any accounts that don't have any limits. When did they have to be created and what requirements do they have?

Thank You

Welcome to the forums.

Have you done a search? All accounts can have this imposed but these tend to be for new ones. So if you figure what's "new" in eb ay's eyes, then you can understand what needs to be done a.k.a what accounts, when, etc.

All the best.

I was looking for a concrete answer because I would like to buy some accounts that don't have the selling limits.

Hello there

Basically "all" accounts are liable to be limited for one reason or another. It depends how you use the accounts.

All new accounts will most likely have selling limits, especially in VERO and high risk categories. However pre 11/07 accounts have the ability to add their own merchant accounts without having to fax documents to ebay.

Perhaps if you gave us more of an idea what limits you're wanting to avoid and we can help you

Yes, sorry I was referring to the new eBay selling limits that start out at 10 items a month for a new account. I saw that one really old seller account my friend has did not have the new limits so I am wondering what requirements an account must meet to have no limits.

It depends really. Ebay are stricter on some categories than they are with others. Are you selling VERO items?

I am in the same boat as well I guess. I have sold on eBay for years, just under several accounts as well. A few weeks ago I received the kick. I have 2 stealth accounts I opened a few weeks ago, have yet to sell on them. However, if I obtain a pre 2007 account, it will still have selling limits if it has never been used as a seller account. But, will it be more under the radar because it is a few year old account? Or will it 'stand out' to them because it's a new seller account?
Thanks for all the great info on here!!

No problem and welcome to the forums

But to answer your question I'm not 100% sure as I have no experience with dealing with "New Selling Pre 11/07" accounts. But I imagine it would be the same as any new account and you would begin to sell slowly and gradually increase sales.

The only perk with pre 11/07 accounts is you are able to add your own merchant account to the ebay account without having to fax any documents to ebay, therefore giving you an easier option to avoid dealing with paypal.

I'm sure someone with a bit more experience in dealing with pre 11/07 accounts would be able to shed a bit more light on this.

Hope that helps
