Default How Fast Should I Sell???

Hi

So I'm selling on ebay with a friend of mine (my own account got screwed) and his account was made in 2008. It has 15 feedback and 3 of those are seller feedbacks. How strong is the account? We are posting 2 - 3 items per week. Is that safe enough? But one of the items is a 300 - 400 dollar item so tell me what u guys think on how fast we can sell? Thanks!!!

The item in question that worries me is the rosetta stone thing that everyone seems to be selling on ebay these days :P The rosetta stone was just posted but is it a good idea to do that?

Prepare

To

Meet

Thy

Doom

in that ebay might not like this and take (as yet undefined) action. Then there is the matter of paypal.

Might be OK, but I gamble so probably not

eta: we cross posted. Rosetta (I AM GOING TO DIE) Stone? It's a big risk. They are aggressive with take-downs of that item. Why did you not run this past the forum before possibly doing damage?

Thanks for your take. How much damage do you think I've done to the account by posting the rosetta stone (I haven't sold it yet...the auction is going)..And does anyone else have an opinion on this? Do you all agree that posting rosetta stone on a 3 year old account is suicidal and a waste of a good account?

i'm sure theres no damage... yet. i have never sold rosetta stone personally, but know through the forum, google, and even chinese suppliers that this is a very very highly vero'd item. its not a question of if it will get taken down, but when. i wouldnt even think about selling it. but thats me.

But thats the thing that I don't understand. There are absolutely new sellers on ebay who are selling this item (and some have succeeded and have positive feedback for rosetta stones)! It just amazes me and makes me think that a 3 year old account can withstand that. Though I must agree that even placing the items did raise some flags on ebay since when my friend went back to add something to the description, paypal needed him to add his paypal bank account. I think I agree with you, the key is not to be greedy. Thank you very much for your input. I really appreciate your help.

@cyanide-digits, you still seem to be trying to get your head spun around on how to sell the Rosetta Stone...

Several experience posters have told you not to and this is also my opinion.

How new sellers do it is always a gamble - some beat the tracking, many don't. If you really want to push your sale and risk your account, study their auctions and try.

Remember, eb ay can do into PAST auctions, cancel them, suspend your account, etc. Then you have pa yp al that tracks the incoming $...

Many hurdles and for a 3 year old "somewhat golden" account, def not worth the jeopardy.

All the best - keep the forum posted on how things go.

Listen here,,The WORST thing one can do is to Look at what someone else is doing,
Ok you have been told about Rosetta Stone, I Also Concur it is Dangerous to sell this on Ebay Unless you are rosetta stone, You will LOSE your account this is a FACT!!!

Do Not worry about the Other Guys and How they are Selling it, That does Not concern you, those Guys will learn their lessons in Due time. You need to worry about your Own account.

As for selling the Rosetta Stone, well, try Craigslist, althought that too is getting harder everyday, also try sell.com, iOffer, eCrater, and a Million other sites, do not worry, you will get rid of them, It will just take a Little Longer.

Thank you everyone for your advice and help. Advice has been taken And I've removed the rosetta stone before the auction ended (It meant suppressing my greedy instincts...But I believe that everyone here is much more experienced and knowledgeable about this egay ****...) Again, Thank you everyone who took the time out to give their input.
