| | | ebayblocked | 05-06-2011 01:03 PM | Do all new seller accounts have selling limits. I have a new seller account, with no feedback. Had listed items sales totalling $1300 but now when I have started receiving feedback for items shipped (3 feedback till now) eBay has seller limits on my account $500 per 30 days.
Listed items on eBay US.
Does ebay have this limit on all new seller accounts or do they go if the seller account is a month or more old? |
Many new seller accounts do. When you search the forum, you will see that these limits tend to go away in 90 days. |
| ebayblocked | 05-06-2011 01:24 PM | I did research but did not know if all go through this and also do the 90 days start when the first item was listed?
So after 90 days from the time I listed the first item , I should be able to list from this account and till then create new accounts with new names to be able to list?
If I get 10+ positive feedback on this account, should I be able to list
Is this right. Quote:

| newjerseymax | 05-06-2011 03:02 PM | Get more accounts avoid the limits... |
| bansheezone | 05-06-2011 08:39 PM | I have an account that is 110 days into selling, 700.00 or 20 items limit? other new accounts I make get 20 items or 2000.00? |
| adventureman89 | 05-07-2011 01:56 AM | I agree with newjerseymax. The more accounts you have, you won't have to worry about this. Not all your accounts will have selling limits, which will help you. |
| patojen | 05-07-2011 01:05 PM | Ebay letting the limits random , between 500 to 2000$ and 10 to 20 items.After 90 days My account is allowed 20 item for 700$ now.and another 2000$ with 20 as well. |
| GrannyT | 05-07-2011 01:39 PM | No they don't. The problem with ste alth is that the ways they can check on you are very limited. A very good friend of mine who deals in second hand farm equipment signed up last week on PP and EB. All of his info is good and he placed his VAT number with EB and PP for cheaper fees. He is also on the electoral role and has his own website that has been running for some years. He currently has 105 listings that are all over £50. He has not been asked for photo id at all and there are no limits on his account.:pop2: |
| digitalslave | 05-07-2011 04:07 PM | I recently created a second account using the info off the first account which had a 10 item $500 limit.
I listed a home improvement book in the home & garden section to test the waters. To my surprise, there was no limit on the amount of listings I could post, at least that I was aware of.
I have failed several times since then, when trying to duplicate it though. |
| Sandy D | 05-08-2011 12:35 AM | Just to let people know I never had any selling limits placed on any of my accounts until recently.
I found a niche product and I am doing extremely well with it, selling anywhere from 25-40 per day everyday for about 2 weeks.
Then here comes an actual nice ebay message about how well I have done with very good performance, shipping etc and they are going to place a 500 item 12,000 limit on my account so they can monitor to see if I can actually handle that much business and still maintain these standards. |

I believe it comes down to the products, category etc you are listing in.
I am finding out the more I play with it some will get limits, some wont, some get small and some get larger. Never a constant thing.
Like others above said the trick to to make accounts in massive numbers to avoid any issues if you have the products to sell. |
| patojen | 05-08-2011 03:37 PM | I see that everyone telling selling limit of first month depends on what you've listed.
But as i observed the selling limit is placed just after you registered as a ebay seller and before a listing. So how could it be possible it depends on listing spesification? can someone explain.Or Are they lifting on second month due to listings? |

They have limits in place for all new accounts made after october of 2010, if you want limits lifted you have to call or verify your info so you must have some luck or your full of hot air. I have created over 100 items this past year in numerous catagorys which no such luck, just some sellers accounts I have pre 10/10 that have no limits at all.
Most new accounts get 10 items and 2000.00 in sales. Only other limits I have seen are 500.00 or 10 items, or an increase in items by 10 and 700.00 a month or 20 and 2000.00 etc.. |
| Ballsack | 05-10-2011 12:48 PM | I have a 6 month old buyers account I turned into a sellers account that I'm using to sell a few books. I'm currently on a 10 item limit of $1000. This must be a very risky category :) |
| patojen | 05-10-2011 01:27 PM | e-books are fun :) |
| unkown5454 | 05-10-2011 04:14 PM | ^^^ Haha...pwned. |
| Ballsack | 05-10-2011 07:27 PM | Used books. |

As of this account I have not received a single limit on any account old or new for some reason.
I just did very well with this account mentioned and they hit me with a limit I think we could all love to see on a newer account. |
| Stealth4 | 05-11-2011 08:31 AM | How can i check what my selling limit is? |
| patojen | 05-11-2011 08:35 AM | Click ALL Selling button left of the page on My E bay if you are registered as a seller member. |
