Legit way around PO Box
Since I am new here I have been reading everything I can, the more informed I am the better my chances are of my keeping my EB/PP accounts intact long term.
One thing I noticed in a bunch of the posts was the issue regarding a PO box. I live in a rural town and do not have a mailing address to my home, I have no choice but to use a PO box.
I have come across this situation so many times with all types of scenarios in real life when a PO Box is not accepted as my address. Because I don't have a street address I had to come up with a way. Every post office has a physical location, it's on a street somewhere, so I word my address as Box 123, name of actual street, actual city, actual state, actual zip. I have never had an issue with this being accepted or in receiving my mail. It is even this way on my drivers license, credit cards, bank account etc. I think the main reason it works is because I leave the "PO" out of the equation, those two letters in the address field are what sends out the PO Box not accepted message, but when I have gone back and deleted those two letters it works every time.
Hope this helps someone |
