eBid

Hi all. Has anybody on here registered with ebid? I did today, tried to login to my account and received the following message:

You have been banned for the following reason:
To regain access here please login to the main eBid site to fix a problem we are having with your registered email address. Thx.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never
.

No reason, no way to contact customer services and no e-mails from them. And I thought ebay was bad

To be honest - you're not missing much. I've had one of my ste alth accounts on there since August of last year. It has taken £14.00:violin::deadhorse::pout:

There is a thread elsewhere on this forum about this issue. Many people have been banned for what seems to be no reason.

ShadyOne 05-08-2011 04:28 PM

I have been banned/suspended from eBid in the past. It only seems to be people selling cheap counterfeit items who get sales, still a low number of sales though.

You can see items that have been on there for years and nobody has even placed a bid.

I have also had an account reinstated, though it wasn't a 'NEVER' account.

Just open another if you want to sell on it.

eBid is a waste of time unfortunately - not enough traffic to get any sales.

Coldcotes 05-12-2011 02:25 AM

I set up a ebid account and didn't sell a single item out of 20 I listed, I relisted them on e bay and sold the whole lot. Ebid just ain't got the traffic to sell owt, some items didn't sell on ebid for 99p that I sold on e bay for over £20!

Imakemoney 05-13-2011 09:42 AM

No harm in having some ebid auctions running along side your ebay auctions though is there?

rsot 05-13-2011 11:49 AM

Diversification without too much new expense is always good for business.

Imakemoney 05-13-2011 11:50 AM

Agreed rsot - however I dont believe paying their lifetime membership of £49.99 is worth it just incase you dont sell much volume through the site...test the water first :peace:

GrannyT 05-13-2011 11:53 AM

I wish I could get my money back - not worth a candle for me:mad2:

Imakemoney 05-13-2011 11:55 AM

should have asked me about ebid before paying that

when did you pay the membership?

GrannyT 05-13-2011 11:58 AM

Last July - I've taken £14 on that account. On EB same account has taken over £15K

ShadyOne 05-13-2011 04:25 PM

Only fa kes stand a chance of selling on eBid, even then, they are sold for much cheaper on eBid than they are on eBay.

Perhaps it will one day be worth using for everyone :noidea:

But for now, nah!

Imakemoney 05-14-2011 06:08 AM

I reckon all us UK users should list our items on there as well as eBay - I would really like to see ebid do better and start getting more traffic :peace:
