Question for the people with 10-20 accounts..

Do you guys really have 10-20 different windows user id's on your computer

jbluntz 06-01-2011 04:15 AM

Yeah alot of people here do, it's not that big a deal only takes a few minutes to set up 10-20 windows users, you can probably do it before you go to bed.

bballaw1 06-01-2011 08:54 AM

You got it... My computer is a hot mess lol

rsot 06-01-2011 09:35 AM

40+ user accounts on an old P4 laptop from 2004 /hold it tight with lots of love ha.

Mix of eb and az

Imakemoney 06-01-2011 09:52 AM

The better computer you have the less having more user accounts affects the memory and speed of your machine.

But yes I have A LOT of user accounts :peace:

Giardino 06-01-2011 09:55 AM

Well I currently have an 80GB SSD doing my win 7 boot along with a 300GB Velociraptor for misc games/data and a 1TB for data that doesn't need speed :P

I could probably delete the old WoW files from my SSD and free up 60GB out of the 80GB >_>

GrannyT 06-01-2011 09:57 AM

Every so often when I go to change users my 'old gal' freezes up and all I can do is reboot - anyone know why - it's an old machine running XP with 5 user accounts
:pop2:

poorgirl 06-01-2011 09:57 AM

I am so impressed! Does anyone own 5 plus different websites? To just sell your same products.

GrannyT 06-01-2011 10:07 AM

I have 2 websites on 2 of my accounts but totally different products and corporate identities. I'm in awe oif the guys that can keep 10 or more accounts in the air

Trying to show off your hardware or something?:juggle:

User accounts doesn't take much space at all, if you don't start piling the private user folders of each account with unnecessary content.

Velociraptor is the word of the day *ding*

Yo Granny, don't just switch users, log out first.

I use 20 domains on distinct and static IP's. Each is either an affiliate, blog, or store. Each one runs an app based on the trade API so I have my own mini eB's. I can post, schedule listings, leave fb, answer messages directly from the site. Most of my payments to PP get swept into my bank accounts with daily settlements.

Next on the to do list is to write the codes to incorporate PP transactions so I can use the PP accounts without the daily settlements.

For access, I use 1 pos notebook, 1 windows account and I log into any of the 20 domains anytime, anywhere I want with absolute impunity from THEM. I don't worry about IP's or cookies, EVER!

Yep one per account its not a big deal. Its realy easy u just have to rember whitch one ur using when u do so have ur cheat sheet infront of u when u log in.

GrannyT 06-01-2011 02:08 PM

I use XL to keep records. I jus couldn't understand why my pooter kept freezing up. I'll try logging out instead of just changing users. Thank you guys - you're pets!:yar:

gcrusader92 06-01-2011 02:09 PM

yea.. i do. I have 30 accounts going every week.

bchrist430 06-01-2011 03:04 PM

with all these accounts how do you go bank accounts? I guess you can only open so many right?

Apple on Head 06-01-2011 05:07 PM

At present I have 22 user i.d.'s on my laptop. 4 of them are actively selling thanks to the stealth guide and help from my fellow stealthers (and ladies, cheers GT). Other buyer accounts on eb gaining age and history just in case I get closed down.

Just make sure that you don't login to the wrong user i.d.

A tip I have is I take a pic from the net that relates to the user i.d. and ebay name, for example if I have an ebay i.d. called something like "V8_Chevvyman" I grab a pic of a v8 chevvy and then using an image editing software I write V8_Chevvyman on the pic in large letters and then save the pic as your wallpaper just to 'jog' the old grey matter and prompt me. Also make sure that your ip log and your personal details log open up as part of the start-up sequence when you log on to a different user.

ShadyOne 06-01-2011 05:09 PM

My user accounts are instantly distinctive for the different eBay/PayPal accounts accosiated with them.

I am sure other people do the same or similar things.

edit: haha, apple in face stole my thunder, zapped!

ShadyOne 06-01-2011 05:26 PM

^ Always go back to the firt day you (or me, anyone) joined the forum and think about how f*kin confused you was with all this "stealth" stuff.

Now your spouting about having over 20 user accounts. Not bad after just two months aye!

Keep it up Apple In Face, you're doing awesome!

happycustomer 06-02-2011 02:46 AM
