Alertpay, is it safe for receiving ebay payments?

I want to sell something big like around 500-1k and i told this guy to send me alertpay. He is willing to go along with it as long as I make an ebay listing. Will alertpay give me any problems?

Few folx have told me that Alertpay works alright for payment and deposits. While eb ay won't accept it, you will have to work with the buyer outside of eb so he does not do chec kout and all that step.
