Default Quick question regarding verification (sorry in advance)

Hello all!
Okay, so I asked my bank (TD Canada Trust) the forbidden question streight up. I told them that because PayPal discloses ones first and last name to sellers when buyers send them money, I wanted to know if it was possible to use PayPal using an "internet name" and asked whether the bank would allow payments to come into my account if the PayPal account's name did not match my real name on the bank account- they told me it wouldn't work.
So my question is, how do you verify a PayPal account and actually withdraw money from / transfer money to it if your bank won't let you?
I'm sorry, I'm sure the book explains this, but until I can come up with a solution to my accessibility software being unable to read it to me (hopefully soon, this is an unusual case as it can read almost everything), I am just trying to put bits and pieces of information on the forum together (sorry for asking noob questions as a result of this!).
Thanks.

The agent at TD with whom you spoke is just quoting nonsense - s/he does not know pa yp al. TD account WILL accept deposits in different names.

Will it allow transfers from the bank account to paypal as well? Can the names be vastly different (both first and last name)? or does it have to be somewhat similar?
Also, one more thing: anyone know how to avoid limitations which occur if you open a new account, verify it, transfer funds from bank account and then try to send money from one paypal account to another? Both of my accounts got limited while doing this.

i would certainly avoid transferring from one ppal acc to another as well, strong chance of them being linked.

if you need to put money into a ppal account, the safest way to do it is using a vcc, make sure you top it up to the required amount before doing it though.

safest way to get money from one ppal to another is long-winded, but it shoud work:

1. withdraw money from ppal to bank acc (regardless of what your bank has told you this WILL work).
2. when transfer hits your account, use it to load vcc with required funds.
3. pay for item using vcc through ppal.

Yes - avoid paying with bank transfer. It can be done of course but the problem is that if someone at pp looks at the receipt of payment, your true name will show up. A lot of "ifs" but why bother.
