If you buy an account it is unlikely to pass any checks for validity apart from the fact that it exists. Go down any street and their are properties for sale, properties to rent and properties standing empty. I know someone who has an account registered to a closed down pub that's all boarded up. I don't understand the need to make a simple job complicated:noidea:

Is it better to use a completely made up/fictional address or to use a real address from public records or home sales? The accounts I have bought in the past appear to be 100% made up addresses...

Ebay does actually write to sellers... In the US at least. I have received postcards and an ebay magazine. It could be a problem if mail is returned or if a random person receives it...

I think it was somewhere on this forum I read a nice method. When you have a new seller account, by default the marketing notifications are set to email, phone, and mail. You go into your account notifications and then change the marketing notifications to only email (uncheck phone and mail). I've been doing this on all my accounts now.

lol that dose not work alot of my old accounts went down for made up address's as soon as u turn ur buyers account into a sellers account u will be prompt to verfiy ur id when u click the box that everythings correct ebay then checks the address and makes sure its legit. If not your account will still be made but chances are it will be limited MC010 sooner or later.

Remeber its only identy theft when u steal some ones identy and social to use! not the address with a made up identy ;)
