Hello Teedon. Query if I may: Do you still send DHL/EMS high risk packages through LA/SF? I only ask because zip codes beginning 7,8, and 9 are very high risk of being seized from these two locations as Customs are very strict.
I'm in Pacific time zone but I get all my packages from NY. In fact most sellers from DHgate won't send packages through LA/SF. What is your experience?

Hey Teedon, long time no see, nice thread you got here, question, what would happen if I ordered 100 software products with a zipcode begining with 9 would that be safe also can you still use a Ny zipcode even if it doesn't match the address, last time I tried that they sent the packages back to China, thanks.

I would like to answer the questions for any issue i know. | i'm currently in China on a trip and am coming back next week. i bought some stuff here and realized it wouldn't all fit into my suitcase, so i decided to mail some stuff back. it was mostly just souvenir type stuff i bought here, and i threw some of my clothes in. i mailed it through EMS. i'm in Xiamen, China and am sending it to Lincoln, Nebraska in the United States.
this is what it is showing on the EMS tracking page:
2011-07-04 19:00:48 XIAMEN Arrival at Sorting Center
19:09:42 XIAMEN Despatch from Sorting Center
2011-07-06 09:20:00 KOREA(Rep) SEOUL IPO Arrival at Sorting Center
2011-07-06 09:21:00 KOREA(Rep) SEOUL IPO Handed over to Customs
am a little concerned about where it says "Handed over to Customs". i know this could just be standard procedure (that's what some people say where i've looked), but why is my package going through customs in South Korea when its destination is the U.S.? i went and searched the tracking number on the USPS page (United Stats Postal Service) and it says the following:
"We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece."
therefore, it at least acknowledges that the package is supposed to go there, and maybe it has cleared customs since it says they're preparing to dispatch the mail piece? i am not really sure what to think, should i somehow try to get in to touch with customs in South Korea or EMS?

We are still moving the packages through LA/SF ,the situation is ok but we have 1 package being seized there last two weeks. But it is normal as we have lots of packages passed LA/SF without issue.

Nice see you here again.
You had better use the address along with the right zip code,if not the usps will say wrong address when the items arrive in usa and then you have nothing to do .

Hey how do they ship so cheap in China? It's like free shipping for everything, so I'm assuming the shipping is really low.

I am sure shipping is cheaper when 1) you have a lot of volume going out and 2) you have a shipper account.

Both sent DHL.
I always thought that DHL and FedEx were less likely to be seized than EMS, but now that doesn't seem to be the case???
