Limit means you won't be able to sell anymore until next month cycle begins.

Sometimes as soon as you hit $1000 you get the pink limitation, wich means no withdrawing money or sending money, but you can accept payments still. It requires ID and proof of address (or other alternatives they give you, check the list they have - ie passport, DL etc etc) to lift the limitation.

If you are lucky you will get a yellow limitation wich they ask for the id etc as well, but you can still withdraw and send money.

I've had accounts where I haven't had that limit applied.

Not sure why, maybe because I started slowly, or bought a few things as well.

Could be because of DSR's as well, or if you receive any complaints.

Could be the products your selling.

Take your pick.

Or maybe it's just random.

I wonder if Paypal is able to verify account details electronically you do not have this problem? Some of my accounts have gone on and on well 1K in payments received with no problems at all..

It's all about the "Risk Factor" so one can't pin-point the exact reason.

As soon as you hit the $1000 limit your PayPal account is Limited and they'll ask for verification.

However if you just get $999 and withdraw your account will not get limited unless you hit the $1000 limit

I realised something the other day, i have had a paypal account in stealth that hasnt been used to sell on ebay, i have had over 1k go through, and have only now had the yellow limitation, so maybe you have to have 1k or over in the account at the one time to alert limitation?
