Default Funny one...thanks PayPal :)

We have to shed a little lighthearted joy through these horror filled pages sometimes...so here is my story from today..

Sooooooo.....The security/memorable questions have recently changed slightly on PayPal UK.

I use a copy and paste for my answers because I'm really quite lazy and in the second week of every month I create about 50 PayPal accounts in a day and that does me for the month, lol.

So...and you have to concentrate on this bit, ha...I always use the questions WHAT WAS THE NAME OF YOUR FIRST PET and WHAT WAS THE MAKE AND COLOR OF YOU FIRST CAR.

Sooooooooooo, drum roll please, I copy and paste the answers rather quickly as you can imagine making 50 accounts in a long slogging day that me and my partner call THE PAYPAL DAY!!!!

I didn't know that one of my questions had been removed from the list and before I knew it I had entered the following:

WHAT WAS THE NAME OF YOUR FIRST PET: Buster

WHAT PLACE DID YOU VISIT ON YOUR HONEYMOON: A Blue Fiat Punto

My Missus nearly passed out when I told her!!! Ha!

A blue fiat on my honeymoon??? JESUS! Noooo way I could have afforded that with eBay's fees.............

You are doing something VERY wrong if you are doing that many and not getting the to last any longer than that.

seems like a waste of time to me. You could do the same with 5 accounts or less.

Not sure how it is in the UK but in the US you deal like that and something comes up about it you will be investigated. There is no legit activity that would need 50pp accounts opened and closed each month. Just looks bad and just the stress alone would be not worth it.

I guess if you are comparing it to a drug dealer then you are fine as the stress is probably the same.

Lol, WTF are you talking about? No stress involved at all. It takes about a day and I'm set for the month. I guess you haven't ever kept up to date with my trading to realise why I would need 50 accounts. I can't open Bank Accounts at all any more due to a few defaults and I've opened all the 'savers' etc that I'm 'allowed'.

Therefore, each transaction I make (for approximately £100-£300ish) I need a PayPal account (because everyone these days only wants to use PayPal!) ALL transactions are legitimate and I trade the PayPal payment on trade sites. Simples.

Think you need to relax a little King...I'm just off out now to sell some Class A Drugs....

There is no reason for me to keep up to date on what you sell or your practices. You told us your practices and they are a wast of time if you are burning through 50 paypal accounts per month.

AND what I said is if you did that here in the US No matter what your reason you would probably have some sort of investigation involved with it, SINCE there is no legal reason someone would need to simply make accounts and burn them like that every month. There is nothing about it that looks legit to ANYONE.

I am relaxed as it doesnt affect me. I am stating what I feel will happen to you eventually. Hoping if you hear from someone else from the outside you would see how ridiculous it sounds. That all I am trying to say.

To each his own but this forum is about advice. Mine if you want it or not is You are going to hurt yourself. You already have limited banking resources for something else you did wrong.

Thanks for the use of capital letters there King...it REALLY helped me. I feel your very 2-dimensional view of things is probably holding you back quite a lot. A+B does not equal C...

I posted a gag on here and you threw your cloak of doom over the whole thing. Lighten up man, for the love of god!

Whether or or not you think I will get 'burned' is irrelevant. I am selling perfectly Kosher good on perfectly Kosher websites. People want to pay via PayPal - and I can't be arsed with having 21 day holds etc - so I create so many new accounts and use them for one transaction.

Last month I used 36 PayPal accounts each with £100-£300 in there. Everyone was happy and I was £8,000 better off. The 'goods' I sell still fall under buyer/seller protection and everyone is perfectly happy. They are genuine 'vero' items - so I cannot risk having an account frozen with 'X' amount in there - so I use so many accounts and simply use it for one transaction.

Disposable PayPal's are much less stress. I don't fear limitations because it won't effect me. I don't have verify them in any way and all info is Stealth. It's essentially an email address - nothing more to it.

I agree that if I were doing something very dodgy - then yes - I would be 'investigated' (provided they could link it in any way of course). However, I'm not...so all is good.

If £8,000 a month is a waste of time (traded for around £7k actually) then I'm happy to keep wasting my time.

You know this was just a joke about paypal changing around security questions.

Not the intention of the OP to ask for advice nor need it. He's perfectly entitled to run his accounts his way without getting a sermon. That was the basis for the thread.

On that point, sometimes a thread should not be answered without some background knowledge. Errors in reply might happen. Might have spared the tone of replies.

Always make sure to be without sin before casting a stone I recall the Bible saying....
