what I should do? my item was Seized
and o got a letter from emi music:
I can confirm that samples from this consignment have now been examined by ex you and they are in fact counterfeit. it is now our intention to ensure that the whole consignment is restrained and disposed of accordingly:; this can be done in either of two ways:

1. with the permission, in writing of the declarant, the holder or the owner of the good, ex
2.alternatively by starting proceedings in the appropriate conunty or high court.

I have had items seized in the states. I called customs, told them I was unaware these items were ⊗⊗⊗⊗ (though I doubt they believe me) and they said they destroy the merchandise.

I wouldnt respond to anything from EMI

MERMAID 09-08-2011 10:09 AM

anyone in UK have seized and what to do in such cases. according to the letter I have two options, 1,writing do not want that , consignment 2.alternatively by starting proceedings in the appropriate conunty or high court.

I bet the seized stuff does not get destroyed. They divi it up amongst themselves!1 They are corrupt.just like the post office. They send stuff to dead letter wharehouse and supposedly destroy them . Yea ok. I could imagine how many boxsets boxes of electronics jewlery perfume any thing of value get destroyed... They have to open every package. They are corrupt just like OBAMA and his Lies!!

rsot 09-08-2011 12:50 PM

They have your real address?

GTB 09-08-2011 12:58 PM

if its only a small amount,i would not start to worry, just ignore the letter is the normal response, they will destroy the them and thats it

but if it consignment is thousands then you coulod be in trouble, especially if they have your real name and address

MERMAID 09-08-2011 05:04 PM

is only few of them

GTB 09-08-2011 07:19 PM

ahhhh not to worry

cant see them taking you to court over a few

just ignore the letter

GTB 09-08-2011 07:21 PM

you must never admit to/sign anything,if they want you bad enough they will get you

but for a few i doubt it very much

Mail come to your real address, in real details? :suspicious:

If so, write back allowing disposal of the goods.

EMI is one of the signatory parties in the UK of the cartel that follows through on preventing the sale of counterfeit goods.

Based on my 1st statement, that will get one monkey off your back:juggle:

If my 1st statment is not accurate you have your (other) answer.

UnderBites08 09-08-2011 07:52 PM

Yeah let this one go, and move on. Good luck

yes they have my real addresss and name , so what should i do ?The letter says I must answer in 2 days

GTB 09-09-2011 07:12 AM

GB knows alot more on this than me,if she says co-operate then i think thats what you should do

GB said,EMI are tw@ts

and even though a small amount they COULD still take you to court coz they are tw@ts

but personally,i would avoid all attempts of contact, put my head in the sand and hope that the problem just goes away

but i am a bloke so:noidea: and its probably not gonna get you anywhere!

boszika 09-09-2011 11:35 AM

This is what I dont understand about things like that.
How the sender of this letter even knows you got it? Was it certified? If not,got lost in the mail.
I heard that happens a lot in the UK.:D

newjerseymax 09-09-2011 01:14 PM

I have had items seized, but never got a letter... Items just vanished and seller had to ship new. Next time try not to use a name, but a business instead. Like Abs PC repairs or something like that. Gives less suspicion and you can deny deny deny....

First thing to do is to calm down and know its a beautiful life.

MERMAID 09-09-2011 04:52 PM

KingRay 09-09-2011 05:37 PM

Perhaps maybe contact a lawyer and ask them for advice instead of getting speculation. Thats what I would do.

GrannyT 09-10-2011 04:48 AM

Stop selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and putting yourself in this position - That's what I would do

:pop2:

MERMAID 09-15-2011 03:56 PM

:pry: i sent the letter but i dint get any more from them I hope everything is finished there:juggle:

GTB 09-15-2011 05:53 PM

yeah,i think that will be the end

but don`t be counting your chickens just yet

good luck

next order (if you choose to import again) get it to a different address n a different name;)

jeffweico 09-15-2011 07:07 PM

There is no such thing as easy money.

Counterfeits can be very profitable.... BUT:

Extra Reward = Extra RISK (that is true no matter how you want to spin it)

If anyone is thinking of doing this for some quick and easy cash, you should know that eBay sellers, Amazon sellers and individual website owners are being sued by the DOZENS each week in federal court. The rights owners got tired of waiting for the government to help them, so they have hired law firms to go after sellers.

An undercover buyer makes a purchase from you and the item is verified as counterfeit. The next thing you know, you are receiving mail from a law firm threatening to sue if you dont pay $xxxx.xx and sign agreements to cease and decist by xx/xx/xxxx.

Worse, if they determine that you were selling in volume, then the FBI might get involved. And that means potential PRISON TIME if you are found guilty.

Please don't get me wrong, I am not judging anyone. Do whatever you want. But don't think that this is an easy risk-free way of making tons of $$$.

MERMAID 10-12-2011 06:40 AM

i di not get no more letter from EmI or customs, i think is ok , i like like to know how long i have to wait foruse the same address , no for emi product diferent brand?:D :juggle:

yeff 10-12-2011 08:35 AM
