Since I am only listing auctions, it is much easier to observe eBay trends than if you are only listing for buy-it-now. It's seems my auction final price decreased by at least 40% for the past 5 days.

Okay today seems like my sales plummeted! And I am sure I am not the only one because I am following other sellers too and I can see they weren't selling as much today as in previous days. I've noticed a general slow down for the past 2 weeks.

Could be a mix of summer season beginning and run up to May holiday in US (next weekend). Also depends on demand for your product.

That time of the month.

Checked the log & last year was slumped sales too.

Hang in there, my friend.

Not quite that time yet. Still SPRING.

Summer turn down starts mid June. That will be a slower time as well.

No question in my mind that something is not quite right with eBay. I read other people having no issues selling on other venues but eBay. I'd get around 250 views for 1 day listing, now I am getting literally half of it.

FWIW, it's normally a slower period for me, but the past month or so has been unusually drought-y.

I haven't found specific competitive reasons, and eBay and Amazon are both off by about the same percentage. The graph might look like previous years, except with a sharper dip. Volumes are looking like early 2009.

I haven't checked the pageview numbers but they're probably scary as well. Usually weekends like Easter and Mother's Day are slow, but no bump afterward this year. Sunday has been the busiest day.

Overall economy is said to be improving, but gas prices aren't great and retailers like Target that depend on the 99% having money to spend don't seem to be doing so great lately.

Until this recent Tax ID issue with PayPal I've been trying to ride it out, figuring it's a good opportunity to catch up on getting better organized and doing more listings (which I haven't done as much as I thought I'd do). But if it drags on too long it'll be worrisome.

Why is no one talking about slow sales on eBay? It's September and I feel like sales aren't where they should be. Is it the economy or is it eBay's search broken again?

So many variables stanislav - a lot depends on your niche, wouldn't you figure? I mean - back-to-school supplies might be booming! (example)

Sales have been fantastic for me since mid September. As an example sold 120 units of an item im selling for £27 since 3rd October. Not a seasonal item either and will ALWAYS be in demand.

Is it just me or eBay sales have plummeted again. I am also getting very little page views. What is happening?
