Default Dreaded £1900 limit

Someone has PM'd me about a PP account that is approaching the £1900 limit. They have all green ticks but the limit is still in place.

I then checked one of my newish accounts and it is in the same situation - all green and crossed through but limit still in place and no request for more information.

My advice was to email them and say there seems to be a glitch in the system

No reply as to how they got on yet

Just checking did I give good advice?

GT, there is no glitch. It is built into the PP sign up these days. This has been covered a load of times.

I have about 3 or 4 accounts like this right now with all green ticks, including verify personal information.

I think it was imakemoney or ebayorbust who told me that the account will undergo a manual review once you get to £1650 received. They promised me that the account will be fine and have all the limits removed after the manual check is done if you have done every green tick.

It is up to you if you wanna ring them up. Personally I would never ring PP for such matters. Thanks

yes people been complaining of this for months, we said it was a glitch originally, remember... but maybe it is not. I now know there IS a 1 year mark review but account stayed up ok. I do not know if the year mark review and this green tick thing are linked but maybe, always thought the £1650 mark is when you sometimes get prompted for the £1900 limit thing.....I tend to not pay too much attention, I ought to....

LOL - I'm like you Oompah - I took my eye off the ball and took no notice.

Anyone got any first hand experience on this? First time it has happened to me

I had the same thing last week, all boxes checked, all docs sent in and return email stating all limits were lifted....after a couple of days limit of £1900 was still in place on Paypal, so I gave them a ring, was told that it was a problem with their Compliance department. Within 2 hours my Paypal showed all limits lifted.

I have sent two email to paypal in three days about that situation, waiting for their response. Should i over £1900 limit before removing limits?
