can eb link via messages?
 

I've had a look through the forum and the only related post I can find is from 2008 and another that didn't really answer my question so here goes...

Quite often I'll contact a seller using their email address and they will reply asking me to contact them through their eb messages, fair enough

Is it safe to do this if including my real address if I want something delivering to it / returns etc seeing as my real address is associated with 2 banned accounts (don't ask :doh:)

Is there anyone who has done this regularly without getting linked etc?

Try to avoid doing this. Make up an excuse to contact them through their email. I do it all the time and it seems to work. As far as including my real address through eb*y messages i have done it a couple times. And ive also done it to receive items that i bought. So far the account is still in good shape. I try to avoid doing this b/c you never know when eb*y will read your messages. They won't tell you but i know they are doing it. If you do this regularly there is a higher risk of getting caught. Hope this helps.

Would recommend avoiding this to remain linkfree - that`s the goal. I never do this so no experience here.

ebay can read your messages, they wont read every message that is sent on ebay..but if for any reason your account comes under scrutiny then,BAM,they got ya bang to rights coz you put your real,banned address in a msg:doh:

so this is one thing i would definitely avoid doing

This has just been addressed. It's been more along the lines of does ebay read messages.

And since that's a confirmed & known YES, then it's a given they could pick up the info about the address.

This practice of trying to use a suspended address in association with new stealth is silly.
There is hardly any item on ebay worth buying if it puts a new stealth account in danger.

If the new stealth account has not reachable address then it defeats its purpose.
Pay attention to rsot's advice. Dont do anything to link. :juggle:

I know you're joshing,GTB. But seriously it's poor stealth to use the old banned address AND hope to not get caught out by ebay.
