changing name on pp
 

This is turning into a nightmare, I got the 1900 limitation last week and uploaded the photo ID and utility bill to prove name/address etc but they came back with 'your address does not match, your name is different'
Full first name was not registered it was just initial then surname.
They sent me an email telling me I need to change my pp registered name from an initial to a full first name, gave instructions how to do it, so I followed the instructions and all I needed to do was upload photo ID and other proof of name, so I uploaded the same ID docs, then tried to do the same to lift the limits.
Next day or so they send another email saying name is different blah blah and slightly different instructions on how to change name, so I followed, then tried the lift limits (upload docs again......)

Nothing,, just more automated emails,,,,
This has been going on since Monday, I had a feedback request form today , ticked every box 'strongly disagree' and told them they were unhelpful.
Tonight yet another email saying the registered name is wrong.. and another way to change it! So ive followed the instructions, but this time I just left it at that. I noticed the lift limits page has gone back to 'to do' rather than 'in progress' even though ive uploaded the same docs 5 times at least now.

More of a rant that a what do I do, but for everyone creating stealth accounts make sure you use a full first name and not just an initial, its cost me over a week of sales so far, I have other accounts but I dont want to swap all the items over as they are not widely sold items and I dont want to be linked :mad:

I am assuming this is a 100% stealth account, as it appears to refer to the address used in addition to the name as being the issue as well.

My gut feel from everything you've said above & having had a good read around the board, is that as soon as they LINKED that address from the new & suspended account, that was pretty much the end of the new account.

The use of initials instead of your full name would have done little more than reinforce their view this was a LINKED account. The MAJOR error was the LINKING of the addresses more than anything else.

PP does not like it when things don't flow simply.

No, you got it wrong the only difference in the ID and utility bill is the first name is in full, pp profile has only the first initial. The address/dob etc is the same yet they still said the address was wrong! Just being picky the way I see it. I had an email this morning saying the account is still under review....

So if only initial in pp why on earth did you upload docs with a full name.

PP is quite clear that the docs must match the registered PP details.

My WILD stab in the dark is if you had of uploaded a doc with just the initial it would have passed.

Never herd of anyone signing up with just an initial

Is your eby linked to your pp account and what in that , just initial also ?

ebay is registered with a shortened version of the first name.

pp have finally got off their asses and sorted it now, name is changed and limits are lifted :amen:

Although its never that simple,,, I have to delete the bank account and re-add it with the full name, wait for the two deposits, lift left leg, hop twice, do thirteen star jumps, jump through the hoop etc etc ....... :juggle:

resending miroc's corrected the registered name issue on your PP account, go figure.

Yes, they are linked, have been since I started selling, the ebay registered name is just the initial also.
