verifying a paypal account

hi guys

i have been looking into banks with no credit checks, and it looks like secure trust and also cash plus are the only 2 out there that offer direct debit with there accounts.

but am i right in thinking i dont even need the direct debit facility to make a paypal account verified?

do pre paid banks work just the same as savers where the 2 deposits go in anyway?

thanks

Imakemoney 01-02-2012 05:58 AM

They do a soft credit check I believe however it wont show up on your credit report.

Whenever you add an account without a direct debit facility the account usually gets kicked pretty quick.

xxxhustlerxxx 01-02-2012 06:09 AM

yer i checked my credit report the other day. i can see the searches but they weren't credit checks.

so as long as i check the accounts everyday in the morning for the 2 deposits i should be fine?

Imakemoney 01-02-2012 06:16 AM

They have a direct debit facility so they wont get kicked.

xxxhustlerxxx 01-02-2012 06:20 AM

i know that secure trust and cash plus have the DD. but i ment the others that dont have the DD. they will work just the same as the savers right?

Imakemoney 01-02-2012 06:22 AM

Which ones are you referring too? & are you sure they dont?

xxxhustlerxxx 01-02-2012 06:35 AM

here is the list

card one banking - https://www.cardonebanking.com
eccount banking - Basic Bank Current Account from eccount banking - Bad Credit Banking
clear cash - ClearCash™*Prepaid MasterCard® - Intelligent Money Management - Prepaid Card Home Page

secure trust and cash plus both use direct debit. but these ones dont. do u think these would work the same as savers?

TLSunny 01-02-2012 06:54 AM

Is there is a limit to the number of accounts you can have with secure trust and cash plus?

xxxhustlerxxx 01-02-2012 06:57 AM

i have had 4 with secure trust so far. but its only 1 account at a time. and not tried cash plus yet. will be doing this week though.

xxxhustlerxxx 01-02-2012 07:46 AM

just read that direct debit can be used on eccount but there is a additional cost to have it.

'You are also able to set up Direct Debits on your account. There is an additional charge for the Direct Debit Service. Please call customer care for further details'

but i should be able to use those pre paid accounts with no DD and still get the 2 payment amounts through, is that right?

GrannyT 01-02-2012 08:05 AM

As far as I am aware that isn't right

xxxhustlerxxx 01-02-2012 08:14 AM

can you explain why? if a saver works with no DD. then that should apply to any bank account.

EDIT: never mind i think it will work. its EXACTLY the same as a saver. i will post my results in a few weeks just incase anyone is interested.

They have been on PP's black list for years so good luck with that :tears:

A saver only works in certain circumstances

Take note of what TizWoz says - it is my experience that he knows more about savers and PP than the majority of us.

But if you know more I am happy to be educated

xxxhustlerxxx 01-02-2012 05:03 PM

from what i can tell those banks have never been spoke about on here. i even searched google on them. so how do you know they are blacklisted:confused: i have read that cash plus works so i know that one is fine. and grannyt yes i know all savers dont work. i used 4 last year only 3 of them worked. but anyway i will try them out. might aswell:)

never heard of this one ( eccount banking ) so can't really comment.

the others have been discussed before.

basically they are managed accounts and no good for PP.

what do you mean by that? alls i want them for is to verify and then remove it 2 mins later. and then close the bank account.

xxxhustlerxxx 01-11-2012 05:54 AM

hi guys

so i have tried all those banks and here are my findings

out of those 3 accounts which do not have a direct debit facility only 1 of them worked.

'eccount' and 'clear cash' both used the same account for every single person (which i found very odd) they give everyone the same account number, but a different reference number. so they are no good for paypal

but 'card one bank' worked just like a saver. funds went in this morning. confirmed and fully verified paypal.

i also tried 'cash plus' (which does have dd and that worked perfect)

so i can confirm that the ONLY pre-paid bank accounts to work in the uk are

secure trust bank
card one bank (works like a saver)
cash plus

just thought i would share this info as im sure it will come in handy for plenty of people:)

oompaloompa 01-11-2012 06:32 AM

^^ post that on the uk means to an ends list, it is handy info

thanks greenbean.

Stigger 01-11-2012 06:27 PM

the ones you talk about with one account number and a ref are the managed account i was talking about. they don't have sort code or if they do the ref is only 6 digits so cannot add to pp.

Also the my cash plus might get pulled down in a few weeks.

Evolution works for PP too.

xxxhustlerxxx 01-11-2012 06:49 PM

they give you a account number and sort code. but everybody gets the same account number. to me it sounds like they have one bank account but it is split into reference numbers (10 digits). if you want to get money paid in you use the account number then a certain reference number (in the reference box on the payee part). so it goes to the main account then someone manually adds it to the account with that reference number.

Evolution is secure trust bank. seen about 10 companys that use secure trust. i think its just another company name they use, but it sends you to secure trust banks site when you try to register or login. so its useless if you ask me.

like i said i went through every single pre-paid bank. only 3 pre-paid banks out there that work with paypal.

Stigger 01-13-2012 02:34 PM

yes the main account have a sort code and account number.

But what they give you is

A ref number with sort code but the ref code is not the same lenth as a bank account number so cannot be added to pp.

A ref number no sort code so cannot add to pp

A bank account number but no sort code so cannot be added to pp.

let us know in a few months if you Mycashplus is still working.

there is a post about evolution and secure trust, they are not the same company i did my research a while ago, you can have both at the same time, you are not doing anything that has not been tried before, i used mycashplus about ten years ago and secure trust about 2 years ago and evolution about a year ago.
its great to have an update though.

you say you tried secure tust 2 years ago. and then evolution a year later. have you tried them both at the same time? i have had 5 accounts with secure trust in one and a half months. so i know once one is closed another can be open.

secure trust is evolution. but just incase it isnt as it would help me out if it was a different company i will try it this week.

and you said i am not doing anything that has not been tried before. i dont quite get you. this thread was made for my own info, read the first post. i asked about the DD. but i thought i would come back and share my info with others as it may help:)

That makes no sense at all, it either is or it's not.

look I'm not trying to argue with you that would be pointless, Ive said it once but it looks like you was not listening so I'll say it again.

evolution is not secure trust, it is a separate company but secure trust manage there accounts, i think its just a sub, however it is a separate company so you can have both without a problem.

And yes i still have accounts with both.

What i mean by your not doing anything thats not been tried before is

Making a thread for your own info :juggle: It's nothing new everyone does it.

Evolution Banking - the current account open to everyone

SHow me where i mentioned card one bank ?

i didn't, i was talking about mycashplus bank account numbers working with PP, just becuase you add one it does not mean it will stay attached, with mycashplus they seem to get removed a short while after.

may be things have changed, its not uncommon, If it works all well and good, nice one.

xxxhustlerxxx 01-19-2012 05:53 PM

lol never mind. i wasnt talking about keeping them attached. thats not what i asked! i asked if they would verify......... i even wrote i want to verify then take it off 2 mins later. and i asked if card one, cash plus. and eccount would work. you said no they are on PP 'black list'!!

or maybe you just didnt read what i wrote when i was speaking to imakemoney? and only read the last post at that time? i dunno lol...

but i was asking about card one, cash plus, and eccount, and you said, i quote 'They have been on PP's black list for years so good luck with that, But thats not the only reason IT WONT WORK.

you make me laugh dude:D you dont have to be right all the time you know:bored:

xxxhustlerxxx 01-20-2012 04:34 PM

just to let you know evolution did work at the same time as secure trust. thanks tizwoz. you were correct on that:thumbs: thats a big help actually mate. thanks:)

so that makes it 4 pre-paid banks that you can use in the uk

secure trust
card one
cash plus
evolution

anymore lurking in the closet i could know about? or is that our lot!

GrannyT 01-20-2012 06:47 PM

In my experience Cashplus gets removed after so long and if you try to add it again the sky falls in - has happened to me twice on two Mycashplus accounts
