Default verifying a paypal account

hi guys

i have been looking into banks with no credit checks, and it looks like secure trust and also cash plus are the only 2 out there that offer direct debit with there accounts.

but am i right in thinking i dont even need the direct debit facility to make a paypal account verified?

do pre paid banks work just the same as savers where the 2 deposits go in anyway?

thanks

They do a soft credit check I believe however it wont show up on your credit report.

Whenever you add an account without a direct debit facility the account usually gets kicked pretty quick.

They have a direct debit facility so they wont get kicked.

here is the list

card one banking - https://www.cardonebanking.com
eccount banking - Basic Bank Current Account from eccount banking - Bad Credit Banking
clear cash - ClearCash™*Prepaid MasterCard® - Intelligent Money Management - Prepaid Card Home Page

secure trust and cash plus both use direct debit. but these ones dont. do u think these would work the same as savers?

Is there is a limit to the number of accounts you can have with secure trust and cash plus?

just read that direct debit can be used on eccount but there is a additional cost to have it.

'You are also able to set up Direct Debits on your account. There is an additional charge for the Direct Debit Service. Please call customer care for further details'

but i should be able to use those pre paid accounts with no DD and still get the 2 payment amounts through, is that right?

can you explain why? if a saver works with no DD. then that should apply to any bank account.

EDIT: never mind i think it will work. its EXACTLY the same as a saver. i will post my results in a few weeks just incase anyone is interested.

They have been on PP's black list for years so good luck with that

A saver only works in certain circumstances

Take note of what TizWoz says - it is my experience that he knows more about savers and PP than the majority of us.

But if you know more I am happy to be educated

never heard of this one ( eccount banking ) so can't really comment.

the others have been discussed before.

basically they are managed accounts and no good for PP.

hi guys

so i have tried all those banks and here are my findings

out of those 3 accounts which do not have a direct debit facility only 1 of them worked.

'eccount' and 'clear cash' both used the same account for every single person (which i found very odd) they give everyone the same account number, but a different reference number. so they are no good for paypal

but 'card one bank' worked just like a saver. funds went in this morning. confirmed and fully verified paypal.

i also tried 'cash plus' (which does have dd and that worked perfect)

so i can confirm that the ONLY pre-paid bank accounts to work in the uk are

secure trust bank
card one bank (works like a saver)
cash plus

just thought i would share this info as im sure it will come in handy for plenty of people
