Default My lately experience of buying a stealth account. And suggestion?

To state first, I'm not complaining getting a stealth account here. I just want to share my experience lately and want to start a discussion about how to avoid the problem next time.

I bought a US stealth account, 1 year old, 0 feedback. As soon as I posted my first listing, I received MC999, and MC067 from ebay. MC999 asked me to call ebay. MC067 is just a notice of removing of my listing.

I did call ebay, and they asked me 3 question: 1. what's the last 4 digit of my SSN, 2. what's my current vehicle, 3. what's my current job. Obviously, I can answer none of them, because the account I bought comes without such info. And it's impossible to answer this kind of questions with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ personal information or even real info but you don't know the guy.

Since talking to ebay seems a must when you do your first listing nowaday, and their questions are random and all related to the latest information of the person you register, we don't have any ways to overcome this.

OK, the only ways out lay here: register account with the real information of the person you know. Or avoid the request of talking to ebay.

There's no need to talk about the first method. What's meaningful for us is how to avoid the request of talking to ebay when doing the first listing. And also my experence lately, I had 1 of my 3 stealth accounts doing first listing without being requested talking to ebay two days ago. So it's not a must, but comes to it with highly chance.

Welcome any kind of comments!

It looks like this is happening often due to the holidays.

You mentioned it only happened to 1 out of your 3 stealth accounts so that shows that it depends on what you list as your first item and maybe random plays a part too

This makes sense .......so what did you do differently to not get the ebay call on the 1 out of 3 stealth account?

Yes, all the 3 first listings are VERO.
One have no request of calling to ebay.
One get limitation removed after calling to ebay and did ID verification successfully.
One failed to do the verification by phone.

How did you pass ID verification on the 2nd account? Did they ask you questions and you answered "none of the above" and passed?

I don't know what's the difference. Actually, the one without requesting to call ebay listed a really high risk item, so that it showed warning automatically when posted listing, asking me to confirm what i'm selling is not a counterfeit.

The account passed the verification registers with real information. And I can answer all the questions.

So if it's not a Vero, the chance of being asked to call ebay is low?
But what if someday I list my first Vero? Will I still have to do the verification? Whether I won't be asked to do so if I get some feedback and highly rated?

So, I want to clear here: what triggers the phone call request?
The first VERO or the 0 feedback?

Listing Vero as your first item has proven to cause troubles. List any household item first and wait until it sells, receive positive feedback and THEN list a Vero item and report back to us.

I would just get a friend to do that with for a quicker process. Sell an item to him then exchange feedback. Or you can do it the regular way.

Always list a no risk item first ... wait a few days 10-15 after the first sale and then you could try a Vero item.

This is where I get a little upset.

You make a post wondering about a US stealth account & its problems.

BUT you can not tell the full story to get correct help.

You are in fact in CHINA.... that in itself makes it much harder to use a stealth account.

That info should have been stated from the start.

Using a VPN, listing vErO on a new account??? What did you think would happen

Oh, is VPN a problem factor as well? I follow every step of the Ebay Stealth Book.

I think you need to re-familiarize yourself with stealth & update your understanding of it by reading this forum. It would help if you added greater insight into what steps you actually took or did to get the best help here as GB states above.

If you decide to do this olive, you have to remain completely stealth.
