I have Comcast but I also use a wireless router so multiple devices in my household have access to high speed internet. If you keep your eye's peeled, you'll find super cheap deals pop up on quality wireless routers. You could have a router for each user name or you could change the MAC numbers if you only have a single router. Either way, very, very easy and affordable.

I bought a netgear router and i followed the instructions to change the mac address. I only changed the last two digits. Also on one video on youtube some guy said you have to be connected to the router thru the ethernet cord when doing this process and the other video the guy didnt say anything about that step. So i did it both ways and then i unplugged router then modem. Then plugged in modem waited for two min then plugged router back in. Still no chnage in ip. Im confused can anyone help?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you need to be plugged into the router with your ethernet, not wireless. Try changing the last 4 digits in your MAC (00 A0 D0 86 XX XX). After you hit save and continue, unplug both your router and your modem. Leave them unplugged for a solid 4 to 5 minutes. Plug the router and modem back in and cross your fingers.

If that doesn't work, maybe you have a Static IP??

Ok so after two weeks of hell. I have finally got some relief. Today I called comcast for the umpteenth time and this rep offered to "bridge" my modem whatever that means. But anyways after he bridged it I logged into my router changed the mac address around and voila the ip changed. But its the same ip on all user accounts so when I go to my ebay user account I guess I will have to change the ip everytime.

Use a word doc or whatever to start a log. Log your windows user account, the ebay/paypal account, the last 4 digits of the MAC address, and your IP. You should be able to change the last 4 digits of your MAC as much as you want, to get as many IP's as you want. You can use the same last 4 digits when you switch back to a different windows user profile and the same IP from before is retained. This is how a lot of stealthers like me run 10, 20 or even more stealth accounts. 10 stealth accounts, 10 windows users, 10 MAC addresses and tons of IP's.
