Default Something of interest after invoices given

I was talking to my friend earlier this evening and I was reminded of something interesting after he uploaded invoices to PP.

Background:
My friend and I use the same distributor. I've known the distributor for many years. I referred my friend. This

did happen to me about 2 years ago when PP did not want my business and wanted to hold the 3+k in my account for 180 days. After a month's of tedious left, right, up, down fight, I won. PP called the distributor. Within a day or 2 after PP called, distributor got quite a few calls from people who said I referred them, which I did not.

Throughout the years, the distributor do get a lot of calls of inquiries but not like a sudden spurt within a few days and having people use his customers' names. The distributor usually would check back with the customers because he does not want a conflict of interests or lose a customer, especially the long-time ones.

Basically I thought these invoices and information are supposed to be confidential. I don't know if PP staff were the ones to divulge these info but to use our real names (Our customers, at least mine for sure I know, only know us via biz name or first name), it's fishy.

Anyone has the same experience?

In reality I don't think those limitation officers in ebay/paypal are satisfied with there salaries/per hour money make job even at ebay/paypal so I know for a fact they copy/steal customer distributor and other kind of information and make there own shops. Sad reality of it, but thats how it is.

I've always thought this was the case 100%. When you live a sh*t life at PP and then you review some sellers' invoices who is selling items like crazy all from legit distributors, of course you would steal that information and quit your day job.

Nothing is confidential unless every bit of information you supply is ste.alth.

I thought it was confidential at least about the name part since I think PP/EB said they dont give out personal information etc. Could be wrong coz I havn't bothered reading their TOS for a long time.

Now even my distributor is telling me to get off EB/PP like his 2 really big customers already did. Not worth the effort and the poop they give. Bah...

This is seriously annoying when you are mandated to give confidential information to continue using their services, they then exploit that information for their own advantages.
