Question How does one find out if a number is linked?

Some ebayer says he called paypal or some phone company to see if the number he was calling was linked to another number. Is this possible to find out or no?

Fandobango, why do you not simply spit it out & tell it like it is ??? Why try to lead up the garden path, especially when GB has already sussed you out some time ago ???

Aw, I don't really care if its hijacked. Everybody can think what they want. I have a vumber and it was fowarded to my real number. The guy said he checked the vumber by calling paypal and paypal told him it was linked to my real number. I don't think that story is true. What yall think?

Sounds like the real question you're trying to ask is if it's possible for someone to find your real number from the fowarded numbers used on ebay, I would say yes which is why I use prepaid phones

A 'normal person' - no. I would be amazed at that.

A not-so-normal person i.e. investigation officer...easily.

I use forwarding numbers through Voipfone to my mobile and if PayPal knew that they were being forwarded to the same number then I wouldn't be running three successful (unlinked) accounts.

One mistake I made in the early days was giving a land-line number on Voipfone and having it directed to my mobile (which I still do). Trouble is I left on my Orange Voicemail that said thanks for calling 077...

Maybe that happened to you????

Basically you mugged someone off and now they are trying to track you down? My advice...stop selling dodgy gear or wear better camouflage

I didn't mug nobody. Man some people are so negative. I like to have knowledge so I ask others. I wanted to know if it could be done. First time this happens to me. If there is a problem with an item I either refund or send a replacement.

They can come track me down. I have nothing to hide except stealth accounts, but I just wanted to know. My question has been answered. Thanks everybody.

No offense meant dude - translation issue.

I didn't think you had mugged anyone...lol

It's an expression meaning you have upset someone.

Peace
